[ Everything still feels a bit hazy when you pull yourself out of bed this morning. Bed... not all of you may remember going to bed. It may take several long minutes for that feeling to die down. Several things may seem immediately wrong. But even if the basics are familiar-- there's a sort of uneasy feeling of wrongness that lingers as you come to. That feeling will probably never go away entirely.

Attached to your wrist is a small plastic wristband, almost like a watch, but without the numbers. Try as you might, it won't come off. For those of you who are familiar, it is designed with an uncanny familiarity to a Fitbit.

And then there's your current abode-- the room is fully furnished for one person-- and you are in fact alone, which may be a relief... or a great concern. The basics are all there: desk, lamp, bed, closet...

As the little things go though, it's almost completely bare of any personal flare. No personal effects at all...

With one exception.

On the desk sits a black tablet. And almost immediately after you find it, the thing starts going off one rapid fire 'ding' after another. Check it out and you will find several messages have popped up on the screen for you to scan through. The source and the content is... well. As questionable as everything else this morning I'd say. ]

[ It would seem that you have much to investigate. Perhaps discussing it with these "others" may be the most beneficial way to proceed for now. At the very least there is a promise of answers in the near future. Whether or not they'll be to your liking though... highly doubtful at this stage, really. But who knows! Going back to school (or to school for your first time) can't be so bad, right? ]

[They'd just finished releasing their first self titled album, and now he's..... where... where is he?? He doesn't remember if he went to bed last night or not so waking up is odd on it's own, but waking up in a different room than one at the very bottom floors of a giant studio building on a hill on top of a cemetery is weirder than you'd think it'd be. 2-D's a little slow on the uptake though, and he's not as phased as one might be when presented with a situation like this. When the dings go off on his tablet he flinches a little before walking over to see what it is on the table, and it's.. like nothing he's seen before. He picks it up and pokes at it, surprised to see that he can directly mess with the screen like that and so he leaves his room, tablet in hand as he continues to poke and prod and open things curiously.

Of course, that means he's not looking at all where he's going so he ends up running into anyone and everyone that happens to be walking by. Which, because he's a towering, lanky cretin it sends him back on his ass and his tablet on the floor, probably already cracking the screen a little bit.]

Waking in the room, Gogol takes a good look at his surroundings. Whatever fear he might otherwise have about the situation is quickly drowned out by curiosity as he flicks through the tablet. This would be fun.

He bursts through the door of room 8, almost tripping on his exit, waving down whoever he comes across.]

Hiiii-! I have a quiz for you!

[Not remembering how he got somewhere or going to sleep at all isn't particularly concerning to Grantaire at all. In the words of John Mulaney: "I used to drink too much and then I would black out and 'ruin parties.'" The feeling of an unsettling wrongness in his body isn't that strange either but the sudden persistence of the feeling is.

Actually, what's weirdest about this whole situation is that he doesn't fucking know what an ipad is or what this fucking thing on his wrist is. Which, of course, leads him to take them out into the hallway and stop the nearest person.]

Explain. [He waves the ipad around with a carelessness that belies the fact he doesn't fucking know what it is.] I don't know what this is or how it works, but it keeps making noises.

That's a tablet, someone's sending messages to it to tell you about some meeting in the main classroom that's happening in an hour. Other than that...
