[Entrance Exam] Week One

It would seem that it will be... some time before you're released. Two weeks. That may sound like forever, in this situation. But you aren't left with nothing to do. The Administrator has been kind enough to update the Tasks application on your tablet. There are also now several different tasks that you can accept. Who knows... you might get something good out of it. It's worth checking out at least. There are also several other new applications you can toy with, too.

And you won't go hungry. The staff is here to prepare meals three times a day. Breakfast is served from 6AM-8AM, lunch from 11PM-1PM, and dinner from 5PM-7PM. You'd best make sure you're in the cafeteria in time for those meals, because they won't be waiting around all day for you. They have lives, too. Unfortunately, you won't really be able to ask them about any of that. The serving area is separated by a glass wall, through which they serve you. Even if you try asking-- it would seem they have been told not to answer.

The rest... well. You may just have to see for yourself. At least you're not alone.

[That question was definitely one of those that didn't exist out of this kind of exercise, Twelve was sure.]

Corn syrup would be fun. Messy, but it's got a high density so you could float easier than sea water.

Is there something you'd want to turn the ocean into? Or do you want a different question? There's plenty there to pick from.

[Floating in an ocean of syrup, huh... it really would be messy, but maybe people who like sweets would enjoy it.]

Ah, no, this question's fine. [If it was Nyanko-sensei, he'd almost definitely turn it into an ocean of sake. As for him... hmm.] Soda. It'd probably feel weird to swim in, though.

I wonder if a sea of soda would be carbonated enough to fizz with mentos....? That'd be interesting to test. [That would certainly surprise A Lot of people]

It'd have to be curry! You can make it spicy or sweet as you feel like it, and it'd never be boring. [Even burnt is better than tasteless]

Peanuts can be explosive under the right conditions. [the emphasis includes a mimed explosion, Twelve's ignored pizza plate balanced on his lap to free his hands]

Ah~ Sounds like you have a nosy family.

No question about it; I'd spend it on bike parts! I like mine, but it doesn't always stay in good condition after a ride or two. [he whines, but it's all his fault for reckless driving on highways. a little too Evil Knievel for the motorbike to stay perfect all the time.]

If you were stuck on a desert island, what five items would you bring with you?

[There's a slightly confused blink at the bit about a nosy family, but he just smiles back and lets it go with a 'yeah, I guess'. The idea of it being motorbike parts doesn't really even cross his mind though; they're around the same age, after all.]

Are the roads that rough where you live?

[But alright, items for a deserted island. The Book of Friends is a given, but he shouldn't really say that out loud so maybe camping equipment, then...?]

A first aid kit, a sleeping bag, a kettle, matches and [...] my pet cat.

I live in Tokyo right now, so not really. Nine says I go too fast so the tires and gears get worn down faster. [that's definitely an eyeroll in his tone. Well, actually--] He's not exactly wrong, but just going the speed limit isn't fun.


[Well, uh] ...That was very predictable right up until the cat.
