Awaken...
[ Everything still feels a bit hazy when you pull yourself out of bed this morning. Bed... not all of you may remember going to bed. It may take several long minutes for that feeling to die down. Several things may seem immediately wrong. But even if the basics are familiar-- there's a sort of uneasy feeling of wrongness that lingers as you come to. That feeling will probably never go away entirely.
Attached to your wrist is a small plastic wristband, almost like a watch, but without the numbers. Try as you might, it won't come off. For those of you who are familiar, it is designed with an uncanny familiarity to a Fitbit.
And then there's your current abode-- the room is fully furnished for one person-- and you are in fact alone, which may be a relief... or a great concern. The basics are all there: desk, lamp, bed, closet...
As the little things go though, it's almost completely bare of any personal flare. No personal effects at all...
With one exception.
On the desk sits a black tablet. And almost immediately after you find it, the thing starts going off one rapid fire 'ding' after another. Check it out and you will find several messages have popped up on the screen for you to scan through. The source and the content is... well. As questionable as everything else this morning I'd say. ]
[ It would seem that you have much to investigate. Perhaps discussing it with these "others" may be the most beneficial way to proceed for now. At the very least there is a promise of answers in the near future. Whether or not they'll be to your liking though... highly doubtful at this stage, really. But who knows! Going back to school (or to school for your first time) can't be so bad, right? ]

We should call this place 'Ass University'!
no subject
Yes. That's exactly what we should do! That'll really stick it to Todd! Who would ever want to go to a university like that?
[Her? Apparently? Twice.]
no subject
Yeah! Fuck this place!
[ ... ]
...Who's Todd?
no subject
He's incredibly annoying.
no subject
Ya know, if he's the dipshit who's in charge of all of this, I'm pretty sure annoying would be an understatement!
[ Because fuck that guy ]
[ ...wait a second what? ]
...Wait, whatd'ya mean entrance exam?! Has this happened before?!
no subject
Yeah, but I don't like him knowing he gets on my nerves too much, you know?
[It's a bitter thing, deciding how much you want to hate a person.]
Huh? Oh, yeah, it did. I was a part of a entrance exam that had a bunch of people trapped in a school like this one! Except it's probably also this one.
no subject
...are you fucking kidding me?! This isn't even the first time this shit's happened?! The fuck?!
[ aaand he's yelling. sorry Maya, he's not mad at you, he's mad at the system. ]
Why would they do that?!
no subject
Maya's expression of shock doesn't stop her from quickly replying.]
I think only they know... and it's probably not a very good reason.
no subject
[ He notices her reaction and immediately ends up feeling regretful. It's enough to get him to calm down for the time being. ]
Ah-- sorry fer blowing up like that! I'm just on edge and crap! And the whole 'this is happening again' thing doesn't really help me! It's, uh, it's not your fault!
[ He probably wouldn't be this apologetic under normal circumstances, but she's been nothing but kind to him so far
and also he's a sucker for cute girls]...Look, uh, where do I find the profiles? [ forgive him he's not techno savvy ]
no subject
It's okay, we're all on edge, pretty much all the time!
[It's not his fault that things suck.
and she appreciates it when people consider her cute or more than just 'plain'.Her hand hovers to over his screen, pointing to the appropriate app.]
Here. I figured out it's this one. [after learning from someone else.]
1/2
Thanks!
[ He opens up the profiles. ]

...Shitty NEET?
[ Hoo boy. ]
no subject
[Peers at the screen.]
...Osomatsu?
no subject
Oh-- Uh, NEET just stands for something like 'not in school, doesn't have a job, not training for anything'!
And yeah, I'm Osomatsu! Matsuno Osomatsu! [ It's a dumb name. ]
no subject
[Kind of. She'd been meaning to ask Nick about payment, but she already got meals from him...]
Oh yeah, I'm Maya Fey. [big ol smile.] Nice to meet you, Matsuno Osomatso.
