WEEK ONE
[ Well that Orientation... happened. Whether you feel more informed or not, the truth remains. Here you are, within Fayflower University. You have your run of the campus, indoors and out.
There's also your tablets to play with. There are several apps-- and even a game! They didn't leave you without some entertainment. The music is a bit dated though...
And should you wish, there's still time to talk to the "staff" in a more... private setting. The office. They're not hard to find. Well-- your Professor, Han and Megumi aren't. Oswald is a bit more... difficult. ]

[ That causes his eyes to widen ever so slightly in surprise. There's something about it that makes him want to ask. He really wants to, especially since he knows that there's three people that were deeply connected with the fourth war.
There's Saber, and then there's-- ]
You didn't happen to know my old man, did you? He was a participant in the fourth war.
[ His voice sounds almost frantic for a second there before he calms himself to talk about magecraft. ]
I don't know, I'm not really all that great with magecraft to begin with. At least, not in comparison to some of the others... like Tohsaka. Since I can only really do one thing.

however, when he thinks about it...he hasn't met many masters at all. saber's master was einzbern... lancer's was his professor... and he saw the king of heroes in the tohsaka mansion so perhaps he was their servant?
but shirou just made a distinction between himself and the tohsakas, so that can't be it.
so that leaves...berserker, assassin or...caster? ]
I don't really know them by name... your last name's Emiya, right? That's what it said on the profile. If that's the case then I don't know. Which servant did he have?

[ he puts his hand to his chin, thinking. this guy doesn't seem like he's lying, so, unless the guy's dad is the liar, then it opens a couple new possibilities. ]
Perhaps he's hiding behind her? Like she's some sort of proxy for him.

[ There's a bit of a shock to his voice as he folds his arms over his chest. ]
Then yeah, there's no doubt about it. I have a sister. Her name's Illya. [ He pauses for a second, before reciting her full name, a little unused to it: ] Illyasviel von Einzbern. She was a Master in the fifth war and she knew about her parents participating in the last one, although I didn't know about her until six months ago.
[ Since Kiritsugu was unable to get back into the Einzbern castle to take back Illya. It's unfortunate. ]
But if Saber was with an Einzbern, it's probably Illya's mom... the old man's wife, I guess.
[ Shirou knows what happened to her, though, so it honestly is a bit of a struggle for him to say these words. ]

[ unfortunately shirou, that's the first thing that's on waver's mind. it's not often that he's right, so he has to celebrate this rare occasion.
however, he does eventually realize the strain in shirou's voice and that does bring some concern. some. ]
She...seems like a nice lady, at least. It's not like we've talked much, this being a war and all, but I guess she does kinda have that mother-like aura.
no subject
[ All of it is past tense because for him, she's dead. ] That's nice. I wish I could have met her.
no subject
She...doesn't make it out alive? [ a pause. in the back of his head, waver thinks that shouldn't feel too bad about it. she may seem nice, but...she was an opponent either way. and it's a war. people are meant to die.
but still ]
I'm sorry.

After all, the Grail was corrupted. It wasn't going to grant anybody any wishes.
no subject
[ what?
now it's waver's turn to stare at shirou in shock, unable to process what's being said. it wouldn't grant anyone's wishes? ]
That...that can't be! Then all my effort...?!

[ it's not that he doesn't believe shirou. the boy seems to be honest enough to not lie about something of that caliber.
but knowing that his wish will remain unfulfilled...and rider's too...
waver's shoulder sag. ]
Then there's no point in fighting in that war. If neither mine or my Servant's wish will come true then there's no point. I'll never be acknowledged.
no subject
no subject
There's no way that I can get my wish to come true by my own will. I'm too weak.

[ with the amount of sarcasm in waver's voice, it's obvious that he's not happy with shirou's suggestion. ]

You're from the Fifth Holy Grail war. I don't understand why you were able to participate right after your dad did, but that still means that you're from the future. Who the hell knows if I'm even alive at that time?
no subject
From what I heard, it was because the grail was destroyed at the end of the war by Saber. But it wasn't entirely destroyed and was instead just incomplete, so the next war only happened in ten years. I don't know if you're still alive in my time period or not, but I want to believe that you will be.
And when that happens, I'll tell Tohsaka about you and we can all help you. Or maybe we can find a way to go to your time period, somehow. I mean... it's possible, isn't it? Since we're both here, from different wars.
no subject
Look, let me think about it. You're...being way too selfless, and that's stupid. But with this information, there might be something that I can do on my own. If we survive this, then I won't just let myself get killed in the war right after.

[ tori, looking directly at ubw in the eye ]
First, we have to make it out of here. From there on, we'll see what we can do.

[ Like he did on the first week of Airlocked. ]
