WEEK ONE
[ Well that Orientation... happened. Whether you feel more informed or not, the truth remains. Here you are, within Fayflower University. You have your run of the campus, indoors and out.
There's also your tablets to play with. There are several apps-- and even a game! They didn't leave you without some entertainment. The music is a bit dated though...
And should you wish, there's still time to talk to the "staff" in a more... private setting. The office. They're not hard to find. Well-- your Professor, Han and Megumi aren't. Oswald is a bit more... difficult. ]

[ explaining things about himself outside of his normal parameters is always so challenging. but he will try here: ]
I do know this is something I've encountered before. It's almost nicer to assume it's just any flower, but I scanned it and it isn't organic.
[ some zen garden bullshit thats whats up ]
At least we know the belongings we had before are somewhere. They could have just as easily destroyed them.

[ Hey yo guess who doesn't know that Connor is a
Chobitrobot. Yeah. ]After all the kidnap, I think tossing all our stuff in a burner would just come across as a completely unnecessary dick move at this point. It'd be nicer if they just left it all with us, but...
[ He shrugs. ]
I'll take what I can get for now.
no subject
[ for what its worth. but there was a question in that wasn't there -- ]
I'm an android. I can see things that humans can't.
no subject
[ Wonderful. ]
Oh. [ ... ] Not like x-ray vision, or anything? That'd be... questionable.
no subject
[ luckily it wasnt the case he does want his things back. ]
No, it's not x-ray. It's far less complicated - or detailed.
no subject
What is it then, if not x-ray? Like... reading body heat, or electrical patterns of the human body or something?
no subject
I can read basic information about things around me - what a substance is made of, if something is organic. Let's say we find a bag of powder - I could tell you what it was made of. It's a useful feature for police work.
no subject
... So you're like a sniffer dog, only bipedal. [ Yes he immediately thought of "that" powder. ] That's... actually really cool. The regular police have to do a bunch of tests on things to determine what they are, but you could just know, instantly.
[ what a backhanded compliment, akira. ]
no subject
That's right.
[ but he sounds proud because yeah hes a super advanced and cool prototype. ]
no subject
[ What sort of things can a shiny future android do other than lick the evidence?]
no subject
no subject
Just... like that? [ He snaps his fingers. ]

no subject
[ He's having a thought here... ]

[ oh ]
You meant literal projections. I can also do that, but they are smaller.
[ he makes a lil hologram of akira with his hand isn't that cute? it shows up just above his hand. but it doesn't move, it's just a picture. ]
no subject
[ But he is pretty intrigued by the little hologram of himself. He kinda wants to touch it, but knows his finger will just pass through. ]
Even small, a visual representation might make it easier to walk through ideas and theories.

[ DIFFERENT FUNCTION, STILL COOL. ]
no subject
[ STILL COOL. ]
Both in terms of past actions and future actions. Using that same knife, I could calculate the easiest way to use it to kill a human.
no subject
That's a little scary as well, honestly.
