What is it? [He's too French for this.] Not that I doubt it tastes good, I just prefer to know what I'm eating before I put it in my mouth. There's less unpleasant surprises that way.

It's oyakodon-- well, it's a simple donburi, a rice bowl with chicken, egg, onion. There's also dashi, mirin, sake, soy sauce and a little bit of sugar along with parsley and shichimi togarashi.
