No Junior Assistant, so I guess it was a little quieter. But Vivi-chan had a robot corgi that was really sweet too.

I'm not sure she knew just how far they were going to go - Todd gave us the first incentive to kill, not her. There was some shouting beforehand, that sounded like her protesting it.

[ Yeah, android pets are a thing. Hank nods. So Vivienne was a nerd, maybe made her own robots. Good to know. ]

That's a hell of a thing to spring on somebody. "Hey, sign up to teach these people robotics -- just kidding, we want them to kill each other!"

Whatever they're trying to do, the method to achieve it is -- or was, I guess -- a big secret. Not that that matters now, but at the time...

Right, this whole "making heroes" bullshit. As if watching people die makes somebody more "heroic." [ He scoffs. ] Please.

He seems like the sort of charming guy who'd throw that sort of fun surprise into things.

Yeah, no kidding. Dunno what kind of hero they're trying to make here but it sounds like it's more of the villain-type than the other kind.

Still... I kinda hope he's ok. He was really loyal to Vivi-chan, and was heart broken when she died.

Sounds like they're just out to make themselves feel better about what they're doing. Put on onus of action on an unrelated group of strangers, and if it works out, take the glory and the praise. If it all goes south, dump the blame on those still left standing and get off free and clear.

I mean, I don't doubt that's true. And they've got all that shit going on outside, so I can buy that they're doing... something. But I haven't seen a single thing so far as to what the fuck that something is. They might as well just be holding us here for shits and giggles.

I'm more of a cat person, really. But he's a really cute little corgi... I guess I understand the appeal a bit now.

If this is their idea of a good time, then they need to get out more. And soon. My life isn't someone else's plaything.

I like bigger dogs, myself. But corgis are kinda the best of both worlds.

I've never really thought about it... I just know he was cute.

Or everyone involved with this did. Even if it's seen as a necessary thing, kidnapping would leave a bad taste in my mouth. Regardless of the reasons why.
