Quite a few of you are too tall for your own good, though. Really, what is the point of all this?

Probably to distract us with something silly for awhile. Which, if it's the case, it looks like it's working out pretty well.

Only because it's apparently mandatory. ...I think. Please let everyone not go along with everything they say this easily.

I suppose I can't complain too much, since I've done...not much to fight against them.

I mean, it's not like they're asking us to do much with this kind of stuff, so I don't think anyone can hold it against you if you haven't.

[ Now if they were asking for them to kill someone like Terra dreads they might again, things would be a different story. ]

I just feel like there are things we should be doing, things that aren't this. All this...waiting, it's driving me mad. When are they going to tell us how we're supposed to be helping, if that's really what we're here for?

There's always looking around the university for clues...but other than that, I don't think there's much else we're going to be able to do.

... I'm not sure. Last time it was at least a little into the second week before Todd decided to change things up with us.

...So, if they're going to do the same thing...we've a few days to see, then.

[ Suddenly, it feels much colder. ]

...Yeah.

[ Great, there goes the happy mood. Like there was one in the first place, but still... ]

Let's just keep hoping it doesn't come to that. And if it does...we'll figure out something this time.

[ Not so confident about that one, but he can try to sound like he is. ]

...We really are just sitting ducks, aren't we? Just waiting for them.

[ He sighs...she's right, but he just shakes his head. ]

...I don't know, I guess we are, but I can't imagining focusing too hard on that is going to do us any good.

No, you're... You're right. I'm sorry, Terra, I'm- well, I'm not exactly good at optimism.

It's alright. It's not like I don't understand either--it's not an easy situation to be optimistic in.

[ ... ]

But just remember that we're not as helpless as it looks. We're not alone in this, and if we all work together to pitch in with figuring more about our situation, it can help us come up with a plan so we can really do something about this.

Knowledge is power, right?

[ Just nerves, it sounds like. ]

[ Terra so were you. He teases anyway just because he can. ]

No, I won't drop you, I promise. I'm pretty good at catching people -- just tell me whenever you're ready.

[ He even holds out his hands with a smile. ]

[ Grumble: ] I wasn't the only one...

[ And a deep breath. Okay. Cross arms in front of chest, shut eyes tight, and...

I have no idea what you're talking about.

[ And he catches her carefully, smiling. ]

[ She opens her eyes to see his smiling face, blinking for a moment. ]

There...we go indeed.

[ She blushes lightly; she's never done something like this before? Not at any team-building exercises at school, not ever been this close, but...

Rebecca bolts up, looking away abruptly. Yes, an attractive man is one thing, but- she has something else that she's waiting for. ]

[ The brunet will actually kind of laugh, more at her first words than her reaction, actually because hearing her say that is kind of funny.

...It's kind of been awhile since he's held someone in his arms before this whole silly exercise, though, and he thought it wasn't all that bad. But... ]

[ Huh, he'll look over, kind of curious. Was he just imagining things or had her face colored? ]

Nothing!

[ Uh-huh. Her voice is a little high, but she can compose herself well enough. Just thinking of Ashton is enough. Any minor moment of attraction isn't anything compared to the seventeen years she's been waiting.

That's all she has to remind herself of, and she's fine. Turning back to him, straightening out her hair. ]

Nothing, just a rush of blood, I think.

A rush of blood? Should we check your temperature to be sure everything's alright just in case, or are you sure you're good?

[ He looks a little worried, but at the same time it's all to make sure that she's doing okay. ]

No, no! [ An awkward grin, she shakes her head. ] I'm fine now, really. I guess I just...fell back too fast!
