Well that was. [Han...] You all did really well yesterday.

[She didn't participate but of course, she was watching! ...probably on her phone. But today she's here to assist! Which means there's probably some other stupid activity ready to be thrown your way.]

Today we have a different kind of bonding activity for you! The name of today's game is--! Two lies and a truth. Today you're going to test how well you know each other-- and maybe learn a lot more!

[And for those who may not know the rules--]

You're going to give someone a list of two things that are not true about you-- and one that is. And based on what they know about you and their impressions of you, they're going to do their best to find the truth. When it's all done, you'll tell them whether they're right or not and if they got it wrong-- you'll tell them the truth!

[ Oso's actually been a baseball player in space, but he doesn't remember that yet. ]

Wrong! [ Unfortunately, yes he has. Osomatsu-san is weird. ]

[No, he doesn't believe this?? He is from the completely opposite genre here rip]

Not kidding! I've died at least more than once! I am a gag anime character after all! [ He's being completely honest about all of this. ]

...I don't know what the hell you're talkin' about, but that dying more than once doesn't make any damn sense.

Yeah, my show's kinda weird. [ Oso kind of got the idea that his world is stranger than others at this point. ]

But I have died before! That's the majesty of the status quo! Oh, and 'rule of funny'!

[unhalting]

[He's used to people dying when they're killed...! But honestly, Orga gets the feeling that he's better off just not overthinking it. Maybe this is just... method acting. Or something.]

...What's supposed so funny about you dyin' all the time?

Look, it's not like I die all the time! My luck's not that bad!

[unhalting]

[Maybe it's something that would be funnier in context, he's not sure?? But it does feel a little morbid to be talking about this considering what info was dropped at the Thursday meeting.]

...Right. How do you come back from somethin' like that anyways?

Because it's funny! Or, 'rule of funny' to be exact. If it's played for laughs, it's not... permanent...

[ And as he says that, his smile falls. ]

...Guess 'rule of funny' doesn't really apply to death here, huh? It's a lot more... permanent here. [ Aaand there goes Osomatsu's good mood. ]

[unhalting]

[......Okay, he feels a little bad for breaking Osomatsu's mood like that. And yet, he can't really be anything but blunt about these things.]

...Yeah, probably. I don't really understand what it's like where you come from, but it'd be better to assume things don't work the same way here.

...I kinda got that already. Thing are... things are different here.

[ Osomatsu doesn't want to think about dying for good. He doesn't want to think about anyone dying for good here. ]

[ But people died here. Permanently. What if more people started dying? Then he can't be in denial any longer. ]

...I refuse to die here. [ The tone of his voice is sharp, but unsteady. ] There's not gonna be any more dying around here and it better fucking stay that way. [ Those words may seem slightly out of nowhere, but Oso's been thinking of them since the meeting. ]

[ After all, the possibility of permanently dying scares him. Just... let him be in denial for a little longer. ]

Look, c-can we talk about somethin' else?

[unhalting]

[Orga gives Osomatsu a long, considering stare after he makes that declaration. He's not sure if it's an assertion made out determination or denial, but either way, Orga's not going to refute it. Maybe they will manage without any deaths, maybe they won't but they won't know until the time comes. He blinks and then just rubs the back of his neck awkwardly.]

...Yeah, sure. You wanna continue playing this game?

[reshoot]

Oh! Oh! You're totally a weird zombie-man!

[ososoi]

Uhhh... nope? [ It's not Christmas yet. ] But if you were guessing about the whole 'dying a bunch of times' thing, then bingo!

[reshoot]

I knew it! No offense, but you're strange enough that that was the only option.

Is that...your superpower, or something?

Not really. It's more of a thing that happens. When you're an anime character, anything can happen!

...I'm an anime character? I'm guessing you've never heard of my show, huh? [ So far, only one person here actually recognized him as an anime character and the number doesn't seem to be getting higher. ]
