[She didn't participate but of course, she was watching! ...probably on her phone. But today she's here to assist! Which means there's probably some other stupid activity ready to be thrown your way.]

Today we have a different kind of bonding activity for you! The name of today's game is--! Two lies and a truth. Today you're going to test how well you know each other-- and maybe learn a lot more!

[And for those who may not know the rules--]

You're going to give someone a list of two things that are not true about you-- and one that is. And based on what they know about you and their impressions of you, they're going to do their best to find the truth. When it's all done, you'll tell them whether they're right or not and if they got it wrong-- you'll tell them the truth!

I'm not old enough to drink or serve alcohol back home. As long as I wasn't handling it, it was fine.

I was persistent. Bars are good places for information, especially when the clientele are getting progressively more loose lipped.

So that was your true aim, huh. [Admittedly, it's pretty crafty of him.] Those profiles said something about you bein' a thief; it related to that?

Not in the way you’re thinking. People are more open about their problems, or it’s easy to get information related to someone’s troubles when related parties are more willing to talk.

[ Yes, but no at the same time. ]

If someone with information was seen at the bar, it was easier to talk to them without me getting permanently banned for hanging around a bar all evening.

That just makes you sound like a nosy guy. [Not that it's said with any ill-intent, he's just being blunt.]

A well-informed guy, actually. [ But yes, nosy to. ] Information gathering is important.

[unhalting]

I won't disagree with you there, but most well-informed guys I know don't go out of their way to figure out other people's problems unless they're thinking about making a quick buck out of it.
