[Entrance Exam] Arrival
You wake up. There’s a dull, throbbing pain in your head that lasts for a few moments. You’re slightly disoriented at first, but once you come to your senses, you realize that you are not where you were last. You lift your head and realize that you're sitting at a desk. You aren’t quite sure where this is, exactly, but from what you can tell--desk and all--this appears to be some sort of...fancy classroom. Maybe there are others in the room who are as lost and confused as you are; maybe you’re the only one. At least you’re not in the dark. The room is well-lit, giving you a proper view of the blue and silver designs that make up the school’s colors.
You feel something around your wrist, so look down at your hands and notice a strange sort of bracelet. Some of you may be able to discern that it's some sort of Fitbit, but try as you might, you cannot remove it.
You only have a few more seconds to process what’s happening before you hear something buzzing on the desk you’re sitting at.
It appears to be a tablet of some sort. It turns on automatically due to a notification that pops up on the screen. The notification reads, “Good morning, Prospect. Welcome to Fayflower University’s Entrance Exam!”
There’s a “Next” button that leads you to another notification: “Please spend the next hour introducing yourself to your fellow Prospects. More information on your peers can be found on the "Profiles" app. Failure to engage will result in punishment. Be sure to adhere to the rules, which can be found in an application called “Rules” on this device.”
There’s one last notification: “When the hour is up, report to the Gymnasium immediately for your Orientation. You will be given further information and instruction there.”
You exit out of the notification. You now understand what the notification means: the tablet has four applications: Rules, Tasks, Profiles, and Maps. If you try to click on the Tasks app, another notification pops up indicating that the application is currently unaccessible. The Maps app only shows you a map of the building you're in right now. There's a little marker indicating your location as well: The one and only classroom in the vicinity.
A large red timer appears at the bottom of the screen. 59:59.
You'd better get started.

Yep! It's short for "applications". If you touch the icon for the one you want, it will open up a new screen with more things to look at. And you can always come back to this main screen by pushing the home button at the bottom of the tablet again -- the one you pushed to turn it on.
[ in other words, if you want to back that A.S.S. up ]
The Tasks one doesn't seem to work, but...
[ He points to the icon with the picture of the person on it. ]
Try touching the Profiles icon, and you can learn a little about everyone here.

[ With Mishima's explanations, she's slowly but surely starting to understand everything. Even though she loves reading, there is a bit more fun when you are learning with someone else.
So it's time for her to strut that A.S.S. and she eagerly presses the profile icon. ]
The future really is amazing. They make everything so much more convenient. It's good to know who is all here with us.
[ She smiles as she scrolls through the list of names, some of them she's seen from passing by but she has yet to actually learn their name so this helps a lot. In an instant, she spots a familiar face and is beaming. ]
Ah! There's you, Mishima-kun. [ SORRY DUDE I hope you don't mind her reading your information in front of you. ] You're the Prospect of Strategic Image Management Representation? That's a really neat title to have. Does that go in hand with the website you were talking about?
no subject
[ I mean, he also thinks it's a pretty cool title!! But it's nice hearing it from someone else. ]
And yeah! My website helps promote a group that fights for justice for the weak. My job is to build up the public's faith in them and find more ways for them to help people.
[ He's smiling proudly as he offers that explanation, but as she reads further into his profile...
Oof. He gives an awkward laugh, rubbing the side of his neck. ]
I'm, uh, not sure how they got the parsley thing, though, haha...

That's a really wonderful duty you've taken on, Mishima-kun. I bet you've helped out so many people just from spreading awareness about that amazing team.
[ It's cooler than any futuristic device she's ever seen. ]
Parsley? [ Come to think of it, she did wonder about it when she skimmed through his profile. It causes her to giggle a little. In an attempt to make him feel better, she pulls up her own profile to show. ] Hehe, don't worry! They have something embarrassing about Maru as well. I'm not good at exercising at all. If you don't mind me asking, is there a story behind parsley?
no subject
Yeah, we have! [ Not... exactly modest, but ] I'm really glad to get to be a part of something that's changing the world.
[ He takes a look, and-- oh gosh, her profile picture's cute too... and she's a school idol?? Seriously, how is she still talking to him??? ]
Ah... Not really, it's just...
[ He sighs inwardly. Geez, this is going to sound lame. ]
You know, a lot of times they use it as a garnish on sandwiches and pasta and stuff, but people don't usually eat it and it just sits on the plate and gets thrown away. And I just kind of...
[ Scratching his head... ]
Feel sorry for it getting left out, I guess? So I always end up eating it, even though I don't actually like it all that much.

Meeting genuinely nice people like him gave her hope for this place. ]
That's...
[ She looks a little surprised by his explanation for a brief moment, but then her eyes begin to light up. ]
That's such a considerate thing you are doing, zura!! [ Being the food lover she is, she appreciates that a lot. ] It's a waste to throw away any food, even if it's something as little as that. So it's good that you are thinking about the parsley's feelings.
[ She says as if the parsley could.... feel emotions. ]

Thanks, haha... It's pretty nice hearing that, even if it's still kind of embarrassing.
[ He identifies with that parsley. ]
Oh, and there's nothing wrong with being bad at physical stuff! I mean, I was on the volleyball team, but I think I probably hit the ball with my face more often than with my hands.
[ Not that he didn't find it completely humiliating every time, but he wants to keep being inspirational... ]
