[Shirou... is a good kid. So Poe's glad he could return something of value to him.]

Yeah... some people might actually try to sell it. But the gem itself is kind of useless now.

Yeah, it did. It was actually the object that brought me back to life, six months ago.

.....Pardon? I... did... did you say it brought you back to life?

[Looks like it also brought his ability to be surprised back to life just now.]

Yeah. It's a bit of a long story, but I died. [ Well, he's died many times. More than he can count on his two hands. But he won't say that. ] But Tohsaka saved me with that pendant. She did say that it was a one use object, so she can't use it to save anybody anymore.

Well... that's a shame. It sounds like it would have been useful here.

Well... even if it did have power, I can't use it myself. Tohsaka's the only one who has the magical ability to use the energy in it.

[Awkward pause. What to ask about next....]

So... um... who is Tohsaka?

[swordsinternally]

She's a friend of mine, from school. She's actually someone I really look up to... a lot.

I see.... what is it that makes you look up to her so much?

[swordsinternally]

She's smart, and really gorgeous... not to mention she's one of the school's idols. She acts a bit rough around the edges, but she's also really kind.

....She sounds wonderful.

Yeah. She really is. You don't happen do know someone like that... do you? I mean, not similar to Tohsaka, but rather. Someone you admire.

[That... actually gets him to think for an few minutes. He... he may hate Ranpo... but his ability... ]

Well... I don't admire the man himself... but Edogawa Ranpo... his Ability is the only thing worth admiring in the world... or, well... my world at least.

As soon as it's used... any mystery before that man will be torn to shreds as he solves it almost instantaneously.

That's... pretty amazing, to be honest. The ability to solve any mystery.

If he was here... we would already be out.

[.....But then he would be in debt to Ranpo. So um. He's.... sort of glad he's not here.]
