 [ Week 2 has begun. It's quiet and calm on campus so far, and you definitely aren't being called out for more. You know. BS or icebreakers. The wall is still deceptively easy to hop over, the birds are singing, Todd's somewhere on campus.

[ In his head, this is probably a masterpiece for Gogol. In these brackets, we will appreciate that moment.

As it is, Akira just continues enjoying his own pancakes, but keeps an eye on what Gogol is doing as well. And you know what? He's impressed. That's steady balance, and a sense of audience presence and how to entertain.

He can't fault that, not at all.

So he does finish eating long enough to give some actual honest to god applause at the end. Bravo, bravo. ]

Nicely done. You kept your balance well during that.

[ Because sometimes making it look like you're failing is tougher than nailing your balance the whole time. ]

[He hops off the table and rejoins Akira, beaming at the applause.]

[After all the talk of his own showmanship, he actually sounds rather coy.

He puts the pancakes down on the table, and slides them across to Akira.]

Here, I don’t need them anymore.

[ Huh. How about that.

He does give the pancakes an odd look though. ]

You're not going to have any?

Not at all. Clowns can’t eat pancakes.

Rubber, sugar, and raw meat.

Primarily balloons. Brightly coloured, of course.

I've never heard of anyone using balloons as a source of nutrients.

They're usually a thing at kid's parties, aren't they? I've been to one with them though.
