[ Week 3 rolls around the corner-- with all the loss of joy after the trial. Can you keep up hope after everything that's happened? On top of that... it would seem that that whatever has effected your memories here-- it's beginning to wear away.

[ He wordlessly grabs one of the cakes, tears it into two halves (It's the cream filled one. Of course it's the cream filled one.) and puts the other half back into the box before handing Maya back said box. ]

Silently, she accepts the box, looking down at the torn cake, and back up again in increasing confusion.]
...Are you sure? [The excitement has waned somewhat.] Is something wrong?

[ Oso gradually realizes he's acting off in front of Maya and shakes his head. ]
AHJI- It's fine! It's fine! It's jush-- [ The NEET shoves his imagawayaki half into his mouth, muffling his own words. ]

[ Oh, he's gonna have to talk about this, is he? He finishes up eating the imagawayaki. ]

It reminds me of my brothers. So yeah... I'm. Kinda homesick. [ That's an understatement. ]

[A breath is released as she says it, in that sort of fashion where your shoulders visibly sag from it. She digs hand into the box and pulls out a fresh imagawayaki for herself.]
I'm sorry, but if it means anything... I'm homesick too, so at least you're not alone on that, right?
[she offers up the nicest smile she can. It's been a rough few weeks.]

[ Osomatsu tries his hardest to not make his co-dependency issues with his brothers any more obvious than they already are. It's a miracle he hasn't shut down by this point, something even he is surprised about. But that's probably only because of the photo album and the mirror routine he's been doing every day that he hasn't stopped functioning properly. But it's stressful. But every little bit helps. ]

[ Not just because she likes them, but because he can't bring himself to eat more than one half. He misses his brothers that much. ]

[She already set the box in her lap, now that just makes it better. She's honestly overjoyed about this. The gift of food is a great one, and one of the easiest ways to Maya's heart.]
You're so sweet, Osomatsu. I'll treasure these as long as they last!
[Which should be about... twenty minutes or so? She'll savor them until lunch time.]
