[Entrance Exam] Week One

It would seem that it will be... some time before you're released. Two weeks. That may sound like forever, in this situation. But you aren't left with nothing to do. The Administrator has been kind enough to update the Tasks application on your tablet. There are also now several different tasks that you can accept. Who knows... you might get something good out of it. It's worth checking out at least. There are also several other new applications you can toy with, too.

And you won't go hungry. The staff is here to prepare meals three times a day. Breakfast is served from 6AM-8AM, lunch from 11PM-1PM, and dinner from 5PM-7PM. You'd best make sure you're in the cafeteria in time for those meals, because they won't be waiting around all day for you. They have lives, too. Unfortunately, you won't really be able to ask them about any of that. The serving area is separated by a glass wall, through which they serve you. Even if you try asking-- it would seem they have been told not to answer.

The rest... well. You may just have to see for yourself. At least you're not alone.

I heard that the ghosts of the previous students come back to haunt the new students...sometimes, they'll even take your body!

[ WELL THEN. Note to self: avoid beaches when Henry is there. ]

Oh. That makes sense - the more weight you're bringing onto the sand, the more likely it is to shift. So you'd do better fighting on your own feet on a beach, rather than on a mount.

So if we're in trouble you're just going to lie down and make it easy for them to catch you?

[ They may not have much of a chance to fight back or permanently escape, but... they sure as heck can make everyone's lives difficult in the process, right? ]

Then I guess I'm going to the South Pole if I ever get out of here.

Oh but there's penguins in lots of places, though! New Zealand, South Africa, even in the Galapagos! But in the South Pole is where the biggest penguins live.

I will visit them all. They're all adorable, and worthy of travelling to see.

[ They could, for sure, and he's admittedly not one who would be to go to for plotting these types of things out, but he can damn well try. ]

Finding an escape route is good, but it might not be enough since they'll likely catch up to us quickly. We should think about having something to use that's ready to go if we need to bolt. [ Maybe. Like traps? ] Which also depends on the kind of stuff we have here, but I think it might help.

[ With how fast his reply is, you'd think he had some experience in the matter... ]

But for now, we're under their direction. [ He waves his hand, having said too much for his own liking. ] A bad habit you find irritating?

[ You've got the ID, and maybe it'd be a good idea to follow Vivienne's instructions now. Remember, the keycard is somewhere in the closet.

[ Man what he wouldn't give for his Third Eye abilities right now. But, seeing as he had those neatly taken away, it's time to fumble awkwardly around looking for that there keycard. If the breakers aren't a given, it might be an idea to have the back up ready to go. ]

[ flat is going to be helpful by holding the tablet in one hand to provide light, while the other continues to also grope blindly in the messy closet. ]

So is anyone really worried about having their secrets leaked?

[ The closet is, obviously, being used for storage; there's cleaning supplies, toiletries, some boxes of instant noodles... At first, it's hard to tell that there's anything out of place that indicates there's a keycard in here.

But at a closer glance, there appears to be something sticking out of the wall on the right side of the room, hiding behind some of those instant noodle boxes. ]

[ Maybe, but it looks like the closet's got a little secret of its own! ]

Do you really know us that well? I wouldn't consider myself similar to anyone else here, besides Twelve.

[ Twelve was the exception to everything. ]

Oh, awesome, instant noodles!

[ he'll just take a couple to see what flavors they are because he's totally unhelpful but--

[ Okay well.... a quick pause, he's grabbing some of those instant noodles and pushing them towards the door to grab on the way out because noodles.

And then hes just gonna... shuffle himself behind those boxes and reach for whatever that is sticking out of the wall. Can he tug it out...? ]

We're taking like all of these when we go. If we get more people we can grab more noodles.

[ Nine would like to have a full grasp of the punishment system here before he breaks the rules, cause that's just being responsible. As for what they'll play though, that's easy, and he responds with just a hint of amusement in his tone. ]

Chess. If we have to make our own pieces and board I'll do it, but I doubt Vivienne can't procure such a simple request.

... I have some idea of what we have in the infirmary, but the most I could do there is try and trip up pursuers with bandages.

[ Which. Y'know. Might actually work?? ]

Not that the food is bad, but you know when you're awake in the middle of the night and you're hungry? This could totally help!
