[Entrance Exam] Week One
It would seem that it will be... some time before you're released. Two weeks. That may sound like forever, in this situation. But you aren't left with nothing to do. The Administrator has been kind enough to update the Tasks application on your tablet. There are also now several different tasks that you can accept. Who knows... you might get something good out of it. It's worth checking out at least. There are also several other new applications you can toy with, too.
And you won't go hungry. The staff is here to prepare meals three times a day. Breakfast is served from 6AM-8AM, lunch from 11PM-1PM, and dinner from 5PM-7PM. You'd best make sure you're in the cafeteria in time for those meals, because they won't be waiting around all day for you. They have lives, too. Unfortunately, you won't really be able to ask them about any of that. The serving area is separated by a glass wall, through which they serve you. Even if you try asking-- it would seem they have been told not to answer.
The rest... well. You may just have to see for yourself. At least you're not alone.

[ once the greetings are all done with, flat immediately makes his way to the common room, where he spends a good chunk of the day. he seems to be excitedly fidgeting with the tablet, because he is playing a mean game of cookie clicker and boy he's hooked.
if you approach him, though, he'll look up from the game and grin. ]
Wanna play?
2. lunch
[ despite what others may be hoping, flat has yet to run out of energy, even when he's hungry. he's happily eating his vegetable soup as if he hadn't eaten in years--which, yes, he has.
but even the somewhat dubious cafeteria food won't deter his excitement. ]
This tastes amazing. Are you gonna eat yours?
3. investigation
[ other than that, flat seems to be excited about getting to know where he's being kept prisoner in. he'll be found walking around the main building and, if anyone looks like they're just standing around, then he'll go up to their personal space! ]
Hey, let's investigate together!

[ the garden is beautiful, kaoru thinks. it's a nice change of pace from the overall...industrial-ness of the school building. she bends down to look at a frog hopping along, not too close; just close enough for observation and admiration. ]
Hello, little one. I don't suppose you talk, too?
HALLWAYS.
[ in the main building, kaoru is leaning against one of the walls with her tablet in hand. seems like she's pretty intrigued by whatever's on the screen! her eyes are wide in fascination, and she's slowly tapping it with one finger. ]
I see...so the more I tap on this, the more cookies I produce? How fleeting...
CLOSED TO FLAT, HENRY, (AND WHOEVER ELSE WANTS TO HOP IN LATER)
You, there!
[ did you ask for this? you sure didn't. but kaoru is pointing to both flat and henry who happen to be in the vicinity of...wherever this is...and holds up her tablet with her other hand. ]
Ah, forgive me--I got a little excited about finding those who may be willing to assist me. I'm interested in doing one of the tasks, you see, and would like some companions to join me along the way.

[It's been a long day, and while a lot has happened, it doesn't feel like they got any closer to leaving. Despite the time, he's almost tempted to just continue searching outside for some kind of clue but exhaustion weighs his body down, and he doesn't have much of an option but to retire to whatever room he's been assigned to. So here he is, noodle of a boy, double-checking the number on the door while looking like he's just about ready to collapse on his feet.
Greet him, poke him, push him over, it's all good.]
ii. late night (locked to jake and nyanko-sensei)
[Despite the lingering worry that people are going to be in a panic because he hasn't returned home yet, he finally manages to doze off despite the unfamiliar bed. Still, it's a shallow sleep and it won't take much to wake him up.]

Talking animals, however, count.

[ if there's one thing that can put sensei in a good mood it's alcohol. and the other one thing is food, which means lunch is the perfect time to greet him. the second he's near the trays, he stops and stares. soup. soup?
Idiot! How am I supposed to take this with me?! Look at this bowl! Look! [ and he holds up the bowl because, look! this is a portion for a reasonable person. he's anything but reasonable and without minions to serve him, he sure as hell doesn't want to go back and forth getting soup. though he will if he has to. ] And where's the rice?! Where's the manjuu!
Ah. [ as if suddenly realizing something, he turns to anyone nearby. ] Yosh. [ without waiting for any acknowledgment, he thrusts a stack of bowls at the nearest body. ] Fill these up and follow me. [ he's gonna start doing the same. brb, getting 10 bowls of soup. ]
2. dinner
[ if anyone thought soup was enough for him they were wrong. for dinner your entertainment will be 1 glutton formerly known as a cat. and youkai. nyanko-sensei's almost certainly one of the first people through the door and since lines are for suckers, he's cutting ahead of anyone. which you can yell at him for if you want. whether someone does or not, at some point sensei moves on to critiquing the food. again. ]
Che. Still being cheap. And where's the meat?! Fish! Fish, give me fish! [ that's what he says, but he's still loading a plate with a mountain of macaroni. seriously, it's like everest. this time, he won't wait to shove a forkful into his mouth. when he does, he hums happily. ] Ah. It's tasty! But I want fried shrimp tomorrow.

... at least iggy can take care of noct and prompto. still, he's not happy, and he works off his angry energy on the field. witness gladio with his shirt entirely off, running laps on the track. wow, he has a lot of stamina, doesn't he?
after he's worked out a little (ugh, there are no weights, lame), gladio showers and decides to grab a bit of lunch. it's not bad. but it also reminds him of high school and he isn't about that life. he eats outside, because we can have at least some nice things!!
afterward, he's just wandering around. ]

Idly, Pikachu wonders if it has something to do with the R case, but... why would so many humans be captured, too? And so few Pokemon?
For now, he'll spend most of the day hanging around the cafeteria, drinking coffee(of course). It's nowhere near as good Pablo's, but it'll do in a pinch. If you catch his eye, he might wave you down.]
Hey, you! Found anything interesting about this place? Like. a way out?
[He's helping.
Later, he'll be wandering the garden, grumbling to himself.]

In the morning, she's grabbing breakfast in the cafeteria, and she... yep, she just grabbed like four waffles. It's fine. And she is just drowning those fuckers in syrup, hot damn.
Later on, she goes to the supply room to just... dig through a bunch of stuff. What's she looking for? Who knows! ]
Ooh, I wonder if painting the walls counts as breaking one of the stupid rules.
[ Later on, though, she seems to take a slightly different approach to rebelling. She's standing outside the faculty office with the music app going. And she's picked one of the songs to put on repeat.
And she's yelling right along to it. ]
Some-BODY once told me the world is gonna roll me!
[ And she is just... going to keep going until someone stops her. ]

Later, he gets on with his plan for the day - namely exploring. No room will be left un-explored, unless it's locked and he has to risk breaking a lock open to get in again. But for the most part, he can be found sticking his head in doorways, and fully entering rooms that catch his interest more fully. The supply cupboard and the nurse's office get a good, thorough check though.
And finally, he goes to his own allocated room and... cracks the window open. Anyone passing by might catch a glimpse of him leaning... uh. Almost worryingly far out of the windows, like he might fall out if a stiff breeze catches him. Don't worry though, he's got this. Probably. ]

7 PM, FACULTY OFFICE
--what?!
[She stops, a slightly worried expression on her face as she bites at her lower lip.]
...then... it's over? She's just going to be...?
[Her weight shifts awkwardly.]
The... waitlist, then.
[She closes her eyes.]
...right. I understand. I will... notify them immediately.
[Even if you don't see her in person, you'll hear what it's all about a moment later as she hastily broadcasts an important message onto every tablet.]
Prospects, I... am sorry to inform you that Kasumi Toyama has fallen ill, and will no longer be able to participate in the exam with the rest of you. She has been... escorted from the premises until her condition improves. We... apologize for the sudden announcement. Please... proceed as normal.

There was something about being assigned dens (rooms), but of course Hollyleaf didn't listen. She wouldn't, why would any cat try to live in one of these weird dens? She found a bush outside in the outdoors area (why is it fenced), behind one of the smaller dens (the storage shed), and curled up...after not finding any fresh-kill. Hungry and left with just the memories of where she'd come from, she slept, praying to StarClan that she'd wake up where she should be.
...Instead, she wakes this bright morning with something else strange strapped to her body. To her head. It's some kind of...no she has no idea what this is. (It's a hat. She has the NAUGHTY hat.) Unfortunately, she can't seem to struggle it off, as like the backpack it's well-fitted. Therefore, that's what she'll have on her. All day.
Outside is where she'll be for most of the day, hunting -- or, you know, trying to. There's no birds (besides. well, you know--) or mice or voles, no prey. How do they expect her to live without food? Even the tunnels... She's looking everywhere, behind every structure, under every rock, all the while with this thing on her head. Haunches raised, stalking quietly...but there's not enough underbrush, either. Eventually, she sighs and flops down, pawing at the ground. ]
How can anyone expect a cat to find food in this place? Is this what it's like living in WindClan? [ ...She wrinkles her nose. What a bad thought.
Eventually, she comes across the pool. She quirks her ear and twitches her whiskers. ]
This lake...is so small. What's the use of it? [ At least she can drink... Gently, she leans forward and stretches out her neck to take a drink and-- Hrecck, she just starts spitting the water back out. ] Disgusting!
[ (...Don't drink water with chlorine, Hollyleaf. ) ]

[ unlike yesterday when nyanko-sensei was mostly just standing around whining about food (spoilers, behind the scenes he's still demanding different meals while gobbling up everything he can even when he's full), today he's running around! and, uh, yeah, it's definitely because he's up to something.
which is absolutely obvious from the pile of backpacks pushed against the door to room #108. since he's coming and going anyone can go through them if they want, or they can just confront him when he brings another one back. which shouldn't be hard, 'cause every now and then he stops near the door and breathes a little too hard while throwing a pack down.
At least one of the times, he gets fed up enough to start yelling at the air. ]
Natsume!! Your stupid scrawny legs aren't good for anything! This is why you're always getting kidnapped! ... Wait. Where are you? I need to lecture you! Open up, open up!
2. elevator
[ there's no way in hell he's using the stairs after running back and forth so it's time to play with the elevator. or it would be if it had more than two floors. ] Ho? [ without minding anyone who might want to use the elevator too, nyanko-sensei casually presses all the buttons in the elevator.
looks like only two of the buttons are lighting up. the rest don't seem to do anything. ] Locking everyone in and only giving them access to two floors. They must be hiding something interesting upstairs.
3. tennis court
[ by this point he's discreetly walked around the building a fistful of times. there's not a lot that's caught his attention—which is aggravating for a number of reasons—but he's not going to dwell on it openly. instead, he decides he's better off planting himself somewhere and seeing what happens. at least for a while.
for now, that somewhere is the tennis court.
surprisingly, he's not being loud when he comes in. the first thing he does is head for the supplies. he's quiet enough as he looks them over. he even picks up a racket, turns it over, and poses with it (yes, it's a completely stupid pose with his arms crossed and his legs spread wide), before dropping it to the ground and grabbing a ball. that, he squeezes once, then bounces on the ground before catching it. ]

First... I'd like to mention that Maya will be moving in with Contessa. It will even things out. The room has been thoroughly sterilized so I assure you... it is safe.
But that is not the main reason I called you all here.
I thought that with yesterdays misfortunes... we could do something... together... as a group. It's just a set of questions to go around. You can ask each other things or... tell the group things about you from among them. So... we know more about each other.
...you can ask me as well if you wish, but this exercise is... primarily for you all.
[She passes around a list of questions for everyone to reference. There's pizza for everyone off to the side too! It's a real party.]

Therefore, her removal from the program is troubling. Because of who it was, yes, but because of what Vivienne had said as well. The news leaves Hollyleaf in a pensive mood for the rest of the day.
A little after sunhigh (noon), Hollyleaf stalks about the edge of Fayflower University's territory, staring at the fence. She arches her back and stretches a few times, finding grip and stability on the ground by digging her claws into the grass. What to do, what to do... Stalking back and forth, she can be heard, thinking out loud. ]
I'm no cat from SkyClan, but I'm a pretty good jumper. I can climb well...but if I fall, what then? No herbs, no medicine cat, and should I get injured who knows if they'll just send me away like that other girl?
[ And so on and so forth.
Later in the day, before the time the Twolegs serve dinner, she finds herself in the cafeteria, impatiently waiting for any of them to come out so she can try and...interrogate. Her tail impatiently flicks back and forth. ]
I don't like having to depend on Two- humans in this way. It feels...wrong.

Maybe he should take a few for when he's not particularly thrilled about their offerings. So he'll do that this morning in the cafeteria when it seems like people are filtering out. because hell yes.
But anyway, after that... what to do today. Honestly, this whole thing has been both extremely stressful and extremely dull, given that he's not entirely sure how heading back to his own world will go. Especially given that he apparently died in at least one timeline? How does he get back to the appropriate time and not die.
So in the meantime, he's just... going to head to the garden and see if he can figure out what spices they're looking for. He's sure he's familiar enough with herbs to figure out which ones might be useful in cooking, but eh. Who knows. Maybe someone will meet up with him he can work with... or is at least looking to complete a task or something.]
