Week 4

[ It's now Week 4 at Fayflower University. With the new week comes another memory, and a new floor to explore. That's nice, after everything, right? Right, of course it is.

However, other things have changed besides the floor access. The wall has always been a point of contention after the fiasco in week one. And then the frog, and now the investigation. However, going within three feet of the wall is oppressive now, in feeling. It feels as though you're being watched-- and targeted for something.

They don't have spin the bottle where you're from, Terra-san?

No. Master never taught us how to play a game like that.

[ pause... ]

Why did you just dodge my first question?

Oh. It's pretty easy. Traditionally, you spin the bottle and whoever it points at, you kiss. But that's a bit awkward here and kinda repetitive, so this version is whoever the bottle points at asks for truth or dare.

And you have to come up with either a question for the or answer, or a dare for them to do.

[ ALSO PAUSING. ]

Because I don't want to answer it. [ Yup. ]

[buriedearth]

[ Terra's expression turns to thoughtful at the explanation. ]

As long as it's sort of like normal truth or dare I don't mind playing.

[ Another pause. Normally he'd let it go if he didn't know the person, but it's Akira. He can't--he cares too much. If it was someone who hurt him, there will be hell to pay. ]

Can you at least tell me later?

The bottle's just there to make the selection process random.

[ Hmmmmmmm. ]

I guess. It's nothing to worry about though, I got it checked out.

[buriedearth]

...Making it more fun by adding a bit of surprise to it, then.

[ ... Well, if he got it checked out, then that means someone else at least saw it, or so he assumes anyway. That makes him less worried, but still moderately concerned.

He'll just leave it for now, then. ]

Yeah. And if anyone's uncomfortable with the traditional play of the game, then this makes it easier.

[ He just smiles.

Sorry, Terra. He was reckless. ]

[ It's fine. Akira got himself injured in a place where people are in danger of dying if they're not careful, he's not going to worry about it too hard. Okay joking aside, he is still, but as long as it seems Akira had it looked into, he's not going to push it. ]

Speaking of which, is there a penalty or something if someone doesn't want to do the Dare or Truth that's been thrown their way?

[ By making a reckless and crazy climb it's all fine Terra. IT'S FINE. ]

Not really? It wouldn't be fair to force someone to do something that is genuinely uncomfortable. But too many general swaps and I might have to think of something...

[ B| .... You're going to give people white hairs from the danger u put yourself in, Akira. ]

Yeah, that's a good point. Still, it was a good idea for you to think this up. I'm sure everyone will have a blast--or mostly everyone, anyway.

[ That's if possession doesn't get you first, Tewwa. ]

I hope so. Too much emotional stress all at once... it wears you down.

It does. We need to be reminded that sometimes we can still come together and do something fun, instead of only when something like a meeting's happened...or something along those lines.

[ He doesn't think he needs to say--trials, afterparties and such. ]

It might foster some better relations between us as well.

[ This is pre Gogol-stabbing. What a fool he was. ]

Better than the last couple of Mondays, I hope.

[ Akira tried. He tried, man... ]

Yeah. Well, so far so good -- I haven't heard of any disasters today, so I'd say it's probably already working out nicely.

[ this is so sad... connor, play "in the end". ]

The day is still young. But we can hope.

[buriedearth]

[ He'll laugh a little. ]

We can. But I think people are done with messing around with...let's say, the wall by now. So we can count that out of any involvement of potential disasters, I think.

[covertizer]

That's one location out of... how many now? Slowly but surely we might learn how to behave.

[buriedearth]

[ You're going to make him laugh again, Akira. God. ]

Just give it a few more weeks, right?

[ Mission accomplished. ]

Yeah. Maybe... [ He hopes that they can all be happy in the end, really. ]

Do you think it'll just be a few more weeks? [ Every single one feels like a count down as it is. ]

[ It took Terra a moment to realize what he just said, and he just sort of...makes sure he clears something up, because, well. ]

...Maybe, if we're talking about this entire thing as a whole. But realistically, it'd probably be somewhat longer than that, seeing how long they're aiming for this to last.

[ Initially, he meant to have a jokingly response as to 'how long it'd take for their behavior to really get better', but not as his own view on how long it'll end. ]

[ Akira just sighs. ]

Maybe we'll outsmart them and no one will rise to the bait for once. That would be a nice surprise.

[ This got heavy fast. ]

As for the behaving side of things, well... I guess we'll see.

...I ruined the mood, didn't I?

[ And here Akira went through the trouble to do something to lift them up and here he was, accidentally making things serious... ]

It'll find a way back. We're pretty resilient.

[ It's tough to not be in these situations. Pulling the wool over each other's eyes works for a bit, but... ]
