Week 4
[ It's now Week 4 at Fayflower University. With the new week comes another memory, and a new floor to explore. That's nice, after everything, right? Right, of course it is.
However, other things have changed besides the floor access. The wall has always been a point of contention after the fiasco in week one. And then the frog, and now the investigation. However, going within three feet of the wall is oppressive now, in feeling. It feels as though you're being watched-- and targeted for something.
Be careful~]

Mitarai is just there and it's actually on the school grounds at this point, he saw Terra in the distance and kept walking. This is actually his first time walking all the way out here, it's getting dust onto his Fayflower brand white shoes and he has to lean over and take a deep breath a couple of times. Finally he is within shouting range so he calls over.]
Hey, Terra...! How are you?

...I'm doing fine.
[ There's a bit of a pause. It looks like he's turning something around in his head, and finally: ]
But maybe that's not the right word for it either.

[But he doesn't see very excited. This is his first time he's had to actually deal with the possibility of a friend experiencing a negative emotion and he has no idea what to do about it.]

Terra raises a hand, placing it on his chest, and before letting it fall right back to his side; it's abnormal and not even when he was feeling overwhelmed until he was sure there was temporarily nothing can compare to this. There's just...nothing at all. No matter how hard he tries. ]
Right now, I can't feel anything. At first, I thought it was some kind of reaction because of what I saw with Vivi, but...it became obvious that wasn't it, even if that all happened only awhile ago.
[ Even when he thought back to the memory that had troubled him this week, of the sleeping princess, and whose light -- her heart -- he'd stolen, there was nothing. ]

[Man, Terra is going to have a really bad time when the first emotion he experiences after this is the sorrow of a death. Well, Mitarai shouldn't be so pessimistic about it - he feels terribly guilty, really - it's clearly bothersome to Terra, in fact, and he almost actively hopes that some quick fix will arise. Okay, he really should express his feelings before too much time passes.]
I'm sorry...
[In the empathetic sense. What else? Shouldn't he have more to offer as a member of the Future Foundation?]
I know you might be ashamed... but... I just want to stick with you more. Companionship is v-vital to emotional rehabilitation.

...
[ Was he ashamed? Deep down, maybe not so much as that thanks to the motive. His own pause is him thinking over words in his head, as they're slow to come. ]
I don't mind if you're the one who's sticking by my side, even if I don't have much to give in return. Then again, you're not asking for anything--you just want to help, don't you? [ ... ] Thanks, Mitarai.
[ Terra manages a slight smile for a moment--it doesn't reach his eyes and there's no emotional reaction of any sort. But no one can say he could stop smiling just because they took his feelings away...after all, no matter what they took away, he will always still be himself, and that's something they'll never be able to change. Terra's certain of that. ]

[ But he agrees not today for his own reasons as well. ]
It can be just some other day this week. But, I'll let you know when I'm dropping by, alright?

Okay, then. See you later!
