[ What do you do after all that?

Well, you mourn. After...an hour or so, a note goes out, under everyone's doors- everyone's. ]

If you also don't want to be alone after the day we've had, come to the second floor of the dormitories. Food and drink will be provided. Alcohol will be confiscated immediately.

[ You'll find Rebecca's set up the common area with food, that she seems to keep supplying, every so often. It's kind of strange, though, she seems like the sort of person to harp on eating well? She definitely has, for some of you. Yet, the food seems a strange split. On one side, there's all kinds of fruits and vegetables and breads. Legumes, made maybe not the best, but it's still an effort. Vegetable soups, no meat in sight. Simple seafood. If you're familiar with Greek culture? Yeah. It looks a lot like something they'd describe in...a history book.

On the other side? God, it's all burgers and pizzas and...pineapples? Pineapple juice? What the heck, Rebecca? In any case, there's enough food to keep everyone fed, and it seems...Tess, oddly enough, keeps bringing batches of burgers from the kitchen?! What a team-up.

The Starbucks is open too, where it's a bit...quieter? Some tea and coffee set up, there.

For those who just want to cry, in peace. ]

It's a free counter top.

[ He sets his own cup of coffee down next to him, and leans his head back against the wall. He can see the goings on of the room here, and the melancholy aura of everyone here. ]

...

There was no way to make that trial end well, was there? Even if we'd tried to do something, it would have ended up like with Mishima-kun...

That's right. It looks like Han tried something anyway, but I'm not surprised that it didn't work.

[ Terra's more surprised that Han didn't end up dead on the floor, and he was having intense flashbacks for a second--but then Mike and Alex's bodies dropped, in that horrifying state, and it was over.

Even in his own words thrown at Hale, it wasn't a sight he could easily shake off. Somehow it was worse than the previous executions... ]

Right now, they have too much power.

[ It was to be expected, he supposed. ]

... Vivi-chan mentioned something as well. They were going to do something. Like last week, with the... [ He makes a motion with his hands. Like they're exploding apart from each other. ]

That thing.

[ He just nods...it was definitely an explosive surprise indeed. ]

I'm just glad it looks like nothing happened like last time someone tried to stop an execution from happening.

I think they dodged a bullet there though. Proverbially.

[personal profile] buriedearth 2018-09-16 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. I think at this point the Administration won't do anything like take them out, but...something's going to change.

[ Something they won't like, he predicts. But that's probably obvious, from what Hale said, anyway. ]

...

More security, maybe? Not necessarily on us, but on them as well. Which makes things harder for us as well.

[ Ugggggh. ]

The less of us there are, the harder it is to hide things anyway.
buriedearth: (100)

[personal profile] buriedearth 2018-09-16 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
We already got less privacy as it is.

[ He doesn't want less security either, and if that's going to be a thing, Terra might try to think of various ways to make it harder on them in spite because screw that noise. ]

...It really is. I guess we're going to really need to wait and see, but that sounds like the most likely thing that'll happen.

If they're tracking the admins as well, then it's going to be tougher to keep the barely there line we have to information and goings on higher up the chain as well.

[ This... is a no win situation if they do put more security in play. ]

We could always start planning some alternate communication methods. If they start monitoring the blind spots, we'll need compensate for it.

[personal profile] buriedearth 2018-09-16 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
You think we should start planning some right now? Just in case?

[ ... ]

We have those "walkie talkies", and we could probably find some way to write things down or maybe like send each other secret messages somehow.
covertizer: (19)

[personal profile] covertizer 2018-09-17 05:03 pm (UTC)(link)
We do... I wonder how many we have over all. I don't think they can link up outside of the pair they come in, but...

It might be safer and quicker to get a message across that way. Even if we do still have to speak it aloud.
buriedearth: (21)

[personal profile] buriedearth 2018-09-17 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it could.

[ ...Actually-- ]

I actually have three right now, so I can pass two extra ones I just got onto two other people.

[ Convenient, he thinks. ]

Maybe we could do a round up and see who has what. That way we could share them out, and give it a trial run. I'm pretty sure I've got a set...
buriedearth: (110)

[personal profile] buriedearth 2018-09-17 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounds good--it'd probably be easier to do that at our usual weekly meetings, since everyone would be in one place.
covertizer: (27)

[personal profile] covertizer 2018-09-17 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. That's usually the best place to share around ideas and such.

If we bring ours along as well, we can test out the range.
buriedearth: (21)

[personal profile] buriedearth 2018-09-17 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Then we're set with that idea.

[ Terra begins to finally pick at his food... ]

I guess now all there is to do what we usually do--and hope we find something good too.

Drive them to despair and hope we don't lose anyone else this coming week?

[ Wow. Dark. ]

We can't lose more people. It's been bad all along, but now it's starting to get to everyone else as well. [ Not just them losing friends they've had for months, but people who haven't been here as long are losing people closer to them and it's just spiralling. ]
buriedearth: (140)

[personal profile] buriedearth 2018-09-18 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Drive the Administration to despair you mean?

[ That sounded laughable to him, though he wished it didn't.

But losing other people...he wanted to hope they wouldn't either. But, reality was more cruel--they still had time to go even though "midterms" happened. ]

We can't, but... everytime one of these "exams" happen, it doesn't feel like we can stop it until it's too late. [ ... ] We can only continue to be there for everyone we, it's just, there's only so much we can do with how everyone's taking this. In the end, I think we both know we're going to all need to somehow keep pushing forward. It's now a question of how much we'll lose before we'll get there.

[ And if, ultimately, they'll actually succeed. Not that he'll say as much, but the days of Terra not looking at this solemnly have come to an end. ]

It'd be nice, for once. Although ... a few of their more vicious motives have bounced back on them.

[ Hmm. ]

Short of locking everyone in the same room on a Thursday and having people take shifts to make sure no one leaves... I don't know how we can stop it.
buriedearth: (17)

[personal profile] buriedearth 2018-09-19 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it would. [ And then he just blurts out: ] Give them a little taste of their own medicine.

[ The bitterness is real. But no, he's thinking now...hmm. ]

...I guess we could just tape up everyone else's rooms on the outside until morning, and then tape up our own from the inside.

[ .... ]

That sounds too ridiculous, doesn't it?

[ Bitter brigade. ]

People who hide up in their towers and look down on the damage they cause like it's nothing to do with them deserve a little taste of their own medicine.

...

I'm pretty sure we could just pull the tape off our rooms, though.

[personal profile] buriedearth 2018-09-20 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
[ They do, and Terra is sure part of himself would not just find it fitting for them to experience the same. ]

... Yeah, we could.

[ ... ]

Do you think asking Han to do it would work?
