WEEK 6
[Week six comes like an ominous wave. If anything, the wall is more threatening that it's ever been. That sign from last week? Looks aged-- like it's far more than just a week old. But more than that, it feels like something is waiting to snap this week. What could possibly go wrong, after last week?
Said no one ever, at this point.
But still, if you look around this week, you might find out something. It's like someone has started leaving clues in places old and new. Take a look around.]

It's a message that I was asked to share with you.
Hank and the others are all worried about you. That you've always supported everyone, but that you might not be saving enough for yourself. But you're an incredible person, so they know that with the right support you can make it through this.
[Hank may not be willing to share messages with her, but it's fair enough to say this.]
He wouldn't ask me to say it, but-- Hank is thinking about you all too. He's hard on himself but I think he understands that... he got it right, when it came to the people he cared about here.

Th- this... You can...t-talk to them? You c-can really--
[ A message, for her specifically? A message, not in a croaking, horrible hiss of a voice? Something that's-- ]
Wh-where are they?! Are they-- th-they can talk, th-think? They're- what's going on?! They're still them, right?

One thing at a time--!
[But she smiles.]
They're currently in a simulation of the school, similar to what you see now. But they can talk, think and exist as themselves. I can talk to them because when things went wrong last year... I made sure that there would be a place for them. Because it's not just about stopping this program. My goal is to save them.

Maybe it's because she just so badly wants to. Wants one good thing, in this mess of a life here. But she cups the recorder in both hands and holds it close to her heart.
...Because, she wants to believe, if anything, that they aren't suffering. Not like how she knows the victims in her world are.
A few moments pass. ]
Why... Why didn't you tell us about this earlier? [ Unlike...just about every other question to the woman, this isn't filled with venom. Rebecca's too tired to summon that sort of fire, she's barely got enough to keep the one in her heart lit. ] Why come here now?

Because if the Administration finds out what I've done, I don't think I have to tell you that they wouldn't allow such a thing. They'd destroy it. And I can't allow that. Too many people are counting on me.
So... I've been safekeeping it... and I ask that you do the same. But... I trust you. And I think that now more than ever, you all need to know that you aren't alone.

You're taking a great risk... They all are. [ Reckless, to send a message. Sounds like Viral. But, in that, there's something that leaves her feeling light. ] Let me make sure this is clear... You want me to tell the others? To give them hope?

Do not share this information with anyone else. Especially after the incident earlier... I donโt want to tempt fate more than we have to. But thatโs what they would have wanted. Itโs far from over yet.
As long as we are willing to fight backโ thereโs hope.

They're still there. They're still themselves.
She looks to Vivienne. When she speaks, it's almost uncharacteristically soft and hesitant. ]
Could you tell them something, from me? That... They better damn well keep themselves out of trouble...but raise as much hell as reasonably possible, if they can.
[ It's a contradiction, from a...contradictory person. A headstrong woman who can't share her own feelings. A maternal figure, with a sharp, horrible temper. Somehow...that makes sense to her. ]
...And he-- ... [ She takes the necklace by the drill, holds it up, face red. ] T-tell Viral, I'm keeping this safe for him, so he better come back and get it.
