[Week six comes like an ominous wave. If anything, the wall is more threatening that it's ever been. That sign from last week? Looks aged-- like it's far more than just a week old. But more than that, it feels like something is waiting to snap this week. What could possibly go wrong, after last week?

Ever since we learned the risk of them deeming the whole class a failure... Hasn't he stopped doing things like that? Because he's watched, of course, but still. Besides, do you really think he couldn't have found explosive fertilizer in the garden already?

Haha, you give out pop quizzes, too? He's... My friend. I was wary of him at first, but especially last night... For some reason Gogol-san is really looking out for me. I won't make the same mistake I did with Henry-san.

He's... my friend too. So... um... I'm... actually glad to hear he has more.

Ah... That's wonderful! Maybe all three of us can hang out as friends sometime! May I ask what activities you two have done together?

Erm....

[Preserving Grantaire's Head, Bringing him an ice pack after her got punched and making plans to steal a giant robot to see if it'd fit in Gogol's cape, confiding in him in week 3, setting the carnival Gogol made for Plankton on fire, and getting comforted after Hank's death while Poe was trying to drown his sorrows in way more coffee than one human should consume and Gogol actually having to cut him off.]

Mostly I just keep him out of too much trouble and ah... try to further my understanding of him. I've also had him read a book I wrote for him...

[And he actually got him to admit he liked it!]

[Mitarai smiles a little too widely at this answer. It just sounds... so much like he has a crush on Gogol? But if Poe wanted him to know that, he would have said it.]

A book? You mean like a short story, right?

[Poe wouldn't notice if he developed a crush. The only reason he figured out how he felt about Ranpo was because the IRL Ranpo's biography gave him a gay crisis. He's sort of hopeless.]

No...? It was a full length novel..?

[IN LOVE WITH HIM? There's lots of great reasons to embark on a creative project, but that long, just for one person, without any emphasis on the book turning out great in its own right? Wait, no, Mitarai is getting way ahead of himself. This is before Monday where he was informed that Connor and Han are boyfriends. Tsukasa and Akira seem like a special case. He doesn't want to put Poe in an awkward position.]

...really gifted. We've had a decent amount of time to work here, but I still can't imagine coming up with so many events in my own narrative. How did you settle on an ending...?

Were... um... you going to say something else there...?

[He heard that pause.]

But... ah... the ending was already planned out during a conversation I had with the Clown. We... came up with most of the skeleton of the plot during it. I... just had to flesh the characters out and give reason to why the plot happened in the first place.

Nothing. Nothing! It's just that I think you're, uh, lucky to have a gifted collaborator like that. I would kill to have someone talented enough to write scripts or soundtracks for my anime...

...ahaha, I'm so sorry for phrasing it that way...
