WEEK 6
[Week six comes like an ominous wave. If anything, the wall is more threatening that it's ever been. That sign from last week? Looks aged-- like it's far more than just a week old. But more than that, it feels like something is waiting to snap this week. What could possibly go wrong, after last week?
Said no one ever, at this point.
But still, if you look around this week, you might find out something. It's like someone has started leaving clues in places old and new. Take a look around.]

[He clicks the pen once more and closes the notebook.]
I’ll, um, send someone in to see you then, Sir! [Another bow] Have a- have a good day!
no subject
[Poe just... sighs in relief at this little charade finally coming to an end.]
....Likewise.
[He'll be off to enjoy the rest of his day then.... before anxiously waiting in his room once the appointed time arrives.]

You ready to talk now...?

[He steps to the side so Gogol can get in.]

[Gogol enters, and looks around expectantly.]
Well? Where is it?
no subject
[He pointedly looks to the side in embarrassment as he holds out the flower crown made of daisies.]
I... um.... I... I thought it might make a decent accessory for that viking head if you ever go through with modifying it to look like Grantaire. The meaning of daisies in flower language utterly clashes with Grantaire and... well... putting a flower crown atop what's supposed to represent someone's decapitated head... It seems like something you'd do.
[Also the meaning of daisies in flower language is ironic for Grantaire... and Poe finds that mismatch amusing.]
no subject
He holds his hands out with a grin. Ta-da!]
How do I look? Is the irony lost on me?
no subject
It's... erm... not a... um... terrible look on you... but the flower meaning really does not fit.
[The clown is not pure and innocent. He is the opposite of all that.]
no subject
[He giggles, and flops over onto Poe's bed. Hi, replica Karl.]
Now, on with the talk!
no subject
[He'll just... carefully take a seat on the bed as well. Hello, Replica Karl.]
What... exactly do you know of Dostoevsky's plans...? Does the boss of the Port Mafia and the ADA's President's lives being pitted against each other sound familiar? They've both been infected with a virus... and if one doesn't die before time is up... then they will both die?
[Ranpo did sort of explain things when asking him for help... even if he's a bit hazy on the details in some places.]
no subject
You know I can't tell you that, Detective!
[His job is quite literally keeping that stuff under wraps. Just ask Mushitarou when you remember him.]
no subject
[He was expecting that answer though...]
Right... well... what do you know of Nakahara Chuuya?
[The person he's really concerned about right now. He can't believe he helped Ranpo trap that guy in a book!]
no subject
[He takes a moment.]
Nothing more than you would.
no subject
[Hahahahahaha..... that's putting it lightly....]
.... and Ranpo convinced me to help trap him in a book.... which I received a few weeks ago.
[He's pretty sure they're both out now though.... but his Ability is off.... Nope. Not going to dwell on that possibility.]
I... don't fancy my chances if that man ever finds out my identity. It... wasn't a pleasant book.
[He'd really rather not survive a death game just to potentially die to the mafia....]
no subject
no subject
[How to put this....]
On the off chance that we both return to our world alive... and Nakahara somehow finds out who I am.... what do you fancy your chances are against him?
[Poe knows that he'd be doomed alone... but Gogol on the other hand....]
no subject
[Any attempts to weigh him down with debris or hit him with projectiles would only backfire, but Gogol's greatest weaknesses and strength lie in close combat. A couple of attempted punches, a kick, and he'd have all he'd need to take.]
I guarantee it'd be quite the show, with a short runtime.
no subject
[Poe tilts his head in thought.]
I... don't think he'd willingly fall for the same trick twice... but I don't think he'd expect your Ability.
[And people do have a tendency to automatically read text put in front of them....]
If... we work together... then it's possible we could catch him off guard.
[He has no idea what he'd do with an book containing an angry mafia though... mail it somewhere very far away... maybe France or something? That's nice and far.]
no subject
Do you plan on killing him?
[That's the question that comes before any further discussion.]
no subject
I'd rather not invoke the full wrath of the Port Mafia.... I'm more looking for time to potentially flee the country in that event.
[He'd... be sorry to go... but he'd rather not die via gravity.]
