WEEK 6

[Week six comes like an ominous wave. If anything, the wall is more threatening that it's ever been. That sign from last week? Looks aged-- like it's far more than just a week old. But more than that, it feels like something is waiting to snap this week. What could possibly go wrong, after last week?

Said no one ever, at this point.

But still, if you look around this week, you might find out something. It's like someone has started leaving clues in places old and new. Take a look around.]

Mm... not exactly?

Cognitive pscience is probably the better word for it.

Cognitive pscience...? I don't think I've heard you use that word before--or if you did, I sure don't remember.

[ He looks a little sheepish at that, though. It sounds like something that might be fairly complicated. ]

Probably not, it's a bit of a weird one to explain.

[ He laughs, and pushes one of the empty test tubes along the counter. ]

In short terms: if you think it, your subconscious makes it real. Say I were holding a rubber knife; if you were looking at it from a distance you'd think it were real... so it is real.

I put together things that could act as smokescreens, but I do think the cognitive pscience side of things is what made it work.

[ Huh, that's...a concept for sure. It still sounds like magicish, but at the same time not quite. He's sure Master Eraqus and Aqua would be interested in the concept as well. ]

I got it.

[ ... ]

It's science-magic, basically.

Pretty much. It's the power of perception - literally mind over matter.

[ He laughs. ]

Cool, right? ... dangerous though.

...You can also make a lot of food that way, can't you?

[ ...... ]

Think about how much ice cream you can make with that...

[ Yes, he knows Akira said it was dangerous. But at the same time, massive amounts of ice cream!! ]

... With perception?

[ ... ]

I'd need like... sugar, cream, flavouring, rather than the power of perception, I think.

Right, that makes sense.

[ And now he just feels silly. ]

Imagine if I could though. Ice cream party.
