Exam 5
[ Once again, the exam begins with the desks arranged in a perfect circle; one desk for each person that's participating in the program. There are nameplates for everyone, and they have been bolted to each of the desks, facing the inside of the circle...
...including the deceased. Their chairs have been placed on top of their desks, signifying that they will not be needed. Above of their desks are holograms of their portraits from their profiles, grayed out and bloodstained.
Han is no longer here to watch over you. And yet at the desk, a beautiful vase of flowers sits by his name plate. It is Oswald who stands at that desk, though Vivienne watches him intently from the side of the room with a sharp gaze. But his eyes are frozen on those delicate flowers. With his knuckles white, he grips the desk as one, and then several more tears fall.
Vivienne waits, but he doesn't speak. So ultimately she's forced to do it herself. ]
...Professor Han was... a good man. It's truly unfortunate that he won't be able to finish the semester with you all I know... he would have wanted to. In... his absence, I will... do my best to support you in his place, the way he would have wanted to.
[It's hard for her too. This is... it's just sad. It's all just... sad. But they have to press forward.
Today we're here to find the person who is responsible for the death of Waver Velvet, the Apprentice of Magecraft.
...Take your time. The evidence you need is all here.
[ The physical evidence tray sits in the middle of the circle of desks; you all have the Evidence app on your tablets to access photo evidence. ]
Examination START.

From the gloves... it's either you or Akira. Akira would know all he'd have to use is cyanide.... and he wouldn't kill for this motive. That leaves you.
[He balls his hands into tight fists. He wants to be wrong. He considers Orga a friend.]
.... Did you do it Orga?
no subject
I said it before, but this motive wouldn't work unless I could actually communicate back and forth. And even besides that, I wouldn't use poison to kill someone.
no subject
[Don't make him regret this. He still considers you one of the primary suspects... but he'll back off until more evidence is acquired.]
no subject
I'm a suspect, but if you ask me: the gloves are suspicious. If someone's gonna go sneaking around using poison, why leave something so damn obvious behind?
no subject
[All still terrible options.]
no subject
Mitarai was already on the scene. We know that much at least. Unless we can find anything connecting Monika and Max to those places, I'd say he's the most suspicious.
[But Orga's also a suspect so take it how you will.]

We know that the culprit was wearing gloves, so if Mitarai was wearing them when he came at Waver in the hall, why wouldn't he be wearing them when he was found unconscious? He hit his head on the table in the computer room and he has the wound on his head to prove it. He wouldn't have had time to take off those gloves if he were unconscious.
The real one responsible for this must've taken the gloves off and discarded them alongside the taser once they were sure they were done with Mitarai and sure that Waver would die, probably went off on their own business...

No one uses syringes back home and he has no clue how they work except you can stick someone with them and you get liquid in there somehow. Also, usually they're tiny? ]
You don't?
no subject
And the gloves... were used to not leave fingerprints. Maybe because they could be compared to the taser or something...
no subject
Terra feels really stupid right now, god. ]
That makes sense.
[ Anyway, as far as he's concerned? It doesn't change what he thinks overall. ]
I don't think we could even use anything to track fingerprints. But, the culprit probably did plant them after all.
So that just goes back to whoever did it because they feel as if it would be in advantage to their hand size.
[ So, he doesn't think generally whoever did it had large hands. ]

And just 'cause the gloves were found there doesn't mean they were actually worn. Besides, I don't know much about chemicals, but I know that they smell. I think it'd be the same if you touched 'em.

Who'd do that without any sort of protection? I can see them purposefully wearing those gloves to cover up the size of their hands, but not wearing them? That doesn't make any sense.
[ He did hear what Tsukasa said, however, so -- ]
...I'll agree that maybe someone might have some sort of strange smell on them. So it might be good to look into that.

I know you're the detective, but I don't think asking them straight up is going to work.
