A new week dawns. Not much seems to have changed, huh? Despite the excitement, your 'exam' continues. However, that doesn't mean that everything is the same. waking up on Sunday morning, it would seem that your tasks application has been updated. The old ones are gone and there are several new jobs for you to take on should you so wish.

It would be nice if this week ended even more uneventful than the last but...

Well even if it isn't, at least you shouldn't be bored.

As you did before, you still have the opportunity to speak with Vivienne during her office hours as well. Make the most of your last week with your fellow Prospects. Or don't. It's all up to you.

[At ten minutes to noon, with a beep, everyone gets a notification. Upon looking-- a message comes across each of the tablets.

Prospects-- please report to the classroom to recieve your instructions regarding your Final Exam.

As you get closer to the classroom, though... there's signs of a disaster waiting to happen. Vivienne's voice rings out loudly. Upon entering, it becomes clear that she's not arguing with herself.

...nor is she waging war on the phone like her previous attempts.

She is fighting a very real battle with a very real man.]

"...what?! No! I refuse. This... you're going too far! I understand... what you want to do. I do... and I... want to see... the results. But you... you can't do it like this! It's not right!"

[The man sighs and shakes his head.]

I told him you wouldn't be able to do this. You're far softer than you try to act. Well... no more. I'm taking over for you from here.

Take the rest of the evening off. We'll discuss this later. Everyone's here.

[He turns very sharply, stepping in front of Vivienne-- leaving her standing there in silence, hands clutched tightly at her side.]

Hello Prospects. My name is Oswald Hale. I will be presenting to you, the details of your Final Exam.

Heroes are individuals that overcome the worst... to bring out the best. To test your worth, you will delve deep into your worst memories; relive them and overcome them again. To become the heroes we need, you must not allow yourself to break.

But in life there are always choices. Overcoming them-- waiting it out-- is only one choice.

You could also choose... to defeat it.

[The look on his face is haughty-- prideful and... evil almost.]

Kill one of your fellow Prospects and get away with it-- and the memories will end and with it.

The decision is yours. And with it, we will see exactly what kind of Heroes you hold the potential to be.

Unfortunately the quality of people is very... hit or miss. We need to be sure what kind of people we have here. So we're giving you a choice and we will be watching you very closely to see what you chose and that will determine how well you all do.

It isn't in the act-- but the choices. And that is where we shall judge you.

[Behind him, Vivienne flinches and turns her head to stare at the ground.]

[ The color instantly drains from Mishima's face, and his eyes dart around the room as he glances at each of the others. The idea of reliving some of his memories is bad enough, but-- ]

That's not-- [ He swallows, with some difficulty. ] How does that make any sense? You bring us here to help save this place and then try to make us kill each other? How is that supposed to help anything?!

It is a test of character. In order to be sure you have the potential we think you do, testing is required. We can't just throw you into something you're not prepared for.

We would do you wrong not to prepare you for the difficulties you could face.

Killing someone... that's just so inefficient! There's so many better ways to become a hero and change the world, and you chose...well, the worst way.

[ flat actually...smiles. he doesn't seem to be troubled by either the memories or the talk of murder. however, he does not look exactly happy either.

if anything, he's looking at the new person with something akin to...pity? as if oswald had just chosen the wrong answer on a test. ]

Sorry, but I'd much rather stay and protect our current Admin. Cuz that's what heroes are supposed to do.

You needn't worry. She won't be going anywhere. At least not until the end of the week. Then... we will decide what to do with her. She will have opportunities to redeem herself.

[Maya probably would have brought up some kind of snippy remark, or maybe just gone for the loud cry of shock. But that's all gone as she's swept into memory lane, reliving being in a dark place, feeling a cold hand in hers, then he walked in... and then the police...

It's unmistakable that she's being affected by this already, but she does manage to squeak out-]

[ is she reliving memories? it's hard to tell, from the outside. ]

[ Well today sure is eventful. Nine shows up expecting more smoke and mirrors, but their overseer is surprisingly straight forward. Which would be welcome really, if not for the news he comes bearing.

Of course Nine doesn't believe him, which he pays for dearly a few seconds later. He doesn't need much help in recalling his past, it haunts him every night, it haunts him whenever a certain scent reminds him of the medical sterilization of that place. Usually he had a warning before his migraines came on, but here all he can do is grit his teeth, force his eyes shut and clutch his head. The sounds and screams of the past and present were all too loud, like daggers wedged between his ears and in the crevices of his mind.

When they've subsided enough that he can move and try to focus, he only has one thing on his mind: Twelve, he needs to find Twelve. At least he was used to dealing with these visions with some semblance of frequency, something he never considered fortunate until now. Before he leaves he has a comment though, something he needs to make clear. ]

Don't kid yourself, nothing about this is heroic.

[There it was. After about a week of relative peace, it hadn't exactly been comfortable but there was a sense of stability, even if Natsume had been anxious to get home. And while the it had felt like something was bound to happen, he still finds himself staring in silent surprise.

And while he wouldn't have considered himself hopeful by any means of the word, when the shock wears off, he's only left with that familiar sting of disappointment.]

[ It takes her a minute to process everything since she's in a state of disbelief. Admittedly, she feared something bad was eventually going to happen to them. She's read enough books to know that kidnapping situations like this never end happily. But there was no book that could prepare her for this terrible revelation. This is so much worse than anything she imagined. ]

There's no way anyone can become a hero by doing something so horrible.

[ There's a lot of things she wants to say but everything is so shocking that it causes her to fall silent. She bites her bottom lip and it takes every ounce of willpower she had to prevent herself from crying. ]

Everyone's lives are important...

[ Kyousuke finds himself reliving memories, ones he never hoped to relive. He closes his eyes, taking a deep breath once it's done. ]

Killing someone over this would be far from heroic.

[Jake has so many bad memories, and even he looks a little surprised by their sudden flooding back to his mind.

Literally every memory of his father. Being in jail. He doesn't know what to say, but also looks around at everyone]

I know this is a little dark, but, look. They're asking us to murder people. And no matter what, murder is bad.
