[Entrance Exam] Week Two

A new week dawns. Not much seems to have changed, huh? Despite the excitement, your 'exam' continues. However, that doesn't mean that everything is the same. waking up on Sunday morning, it would seem that your tasks application has been updated. The old ones are gone and there are several new jobs for you to take on should you so wish.

It would be nice if this week ended even more uneventful than the last but...

Well even if it isn't, at least you shouldn't be bored.

As you did before, you still have the opportunity to speak with Vivienne during her office hours as well. Make the most of your last week with your fellow Prospects. Or don't. It's all up to you.

[ kaoru isn't plagued with bad memories like everyone else is. but...she is definitely feeling anxious about something. that maybe--just maybe, she might be letting everyone down.

so she's unusually quiet when she attends the meeting. ]

...I do hope nobody is considering taking him up on that offer.

[ flat would love to say "of course not!", but he's not stupid (as many think of him to be) so he simply sighs and stares at the ceiling. ]

A couple people may be tempted. Maybe one will even do it. Where I'm from, that would probably be the "rational decision". That's just how mages are.

[ and then he looks back at kaoru, smiling. ]

But not everyone is like that. And that's the point. We gotta get the most amount of people possible in order to stand against the new admin!

[ kaoru smiles and nods at him. she is impressed--very much so. ]

I admire you. Your mental fortitude is that of a true hero, I'd say.

flat had heard it all from his classmates, teachers, and family alike. that they were afraid of him, that they found him annoying and obnoxious. it's to the point that flat himself doesn't really care what people think of him, as long as it's a straightforward, honest emotion.

to be admired... that's more than he could ever imagine. unsure of how to respond, flat chuckles awkwardly, scratching his cheek. ]

I... thank you, Kaoru. Although I'm really just doing what my Professor taught me to do; the right thing.

[ as kaoru has said from the beginning, she believes flat has been extremely underestimated for his talents. he mentioned that he was something of an intelligent idiot--or at least people called him that, anyway--and in her eyes, calling a meeting with the intent to come up with a game plan...

flat deserves at least some credit for that, doesn't he? so she smiles a little wider and nods. ]

Even so, your Professor isn't here right now. You are acting on your own and putting what you've learned into practice. To stage a rebellion is a brave and noble thing to do, so I'm simply giving credit where credit is due.
