[Entrance Exam] Week Two
A new week dawns. Not much seems to have changed, huh? Despite the excitement, your 'exam' continues. However, that doesn't mean that everything is the same. waking up on Sunday morning, it would seem that your tasks application has been updated. The old ones are gone and there are several new jobs for you to take on should you so wish.
It would be nice if this week ended even more uneventful than the last but...
Well even if it isn't, at least you shouldn't be bored.
As you did before, you still have the opportunity to speak with Vivienne during her office hours as well. Make the most of your last week with your fellow Prospects. Or don't. It's all up to you.

Holy shit, Vivienne...
... And, yeah. He doesn't even argue, just-- ]
Augh... fucking dick nugget...
[ Let him say that much before he lets himself be guided away??? ]
no subject
What did she... just do...?
Oh boy.
No Vivienne hold it together. You have to look after your Prospect.]
...are... are you alright?

I'd ask why you did that, but I'm starting to think you amazing me will be the norm around here.
[ SIGH... ]
But, seriously, I wasn't worth that. That guy didn't hesitate to strangle me, and you got in the way... What if he retaliates against you next, idiot?
[ He sure is bristling at her over her well-being!!!! ]
... [ mmmMMMMMMM ] ... But, thank you.
[ Looking away....... then muttering quietly: ]
... Nobody's ever done anything like that for me before. [ then a little louder: ] ... and, yeah. I'm fine. What about you?

[If having him lecture her about the way she's handled things thus far has taught her anything, it's that.]
I just... did what I wanted to.
[She smiles. Honestly it felt good standing up to him. But-- not everything is good and positive. She did say she'd take care of his punishment. She's not like Oswald-- she doesn't want him hurt. But that doesn't mean that she'd be able to convince the others that he should stay. So...]
...I may have been able to stop Oswald, but... as much as I'd like to, there's no way around it. I won't be able to keep you in this group. I'll have to mark you as failing.
cw: child abuse... suicidal ideation.............
I already knew, when I chose to try killing him, that I was going to be marked down as a failure. [ looking at the floor ] I did it because I refuse to be part of a flawed system. He was acting just like the guy who promised me that I would have a family among the hunters, and then turned around and beat the crap out of me every time I stepped out of line. I was sixteen and had no memories, so... what the hell else was there to do?
People like that don't deserve to live, and dying to get rid of him would have given my life more of a meaning than I've managed to do until now. [ a soft smirk surfaces ] For once, it was nice to not jump...
[ He has to take a moment to rub at his face - goddamn memories - and take a slow breath. Why does he actually regret this whole thing a little? He's never actually cared about the thought of disappointing someone before.
... Well, not like he has anywhere good to return to, so that must be it. ]
What happens now? Do I just get shoved back at that shithole of a planet?
no subject
So... yes. You'll return home for now.
[She wishes there was another way, but-- she's already asked them to give her so much leeway.]
I wish... you would have trusted me a little more. Maybe then... things wouldn't have ended like this.
[She takes his hand and squeezes it.]
But... maybe I can convince them to let you return. Not in the first class... but... maybe in one of the later ones. I'd like to have another chance as well. I'm not sure how you felt... about your time here with all of us... but... know that you were an important part of this group.

[ Plus, having his mother and father's murders on repeat...? Kiiiiind of overkill to his mental state, here. Which might be why he seems a tiny bit startled to suddenly have her taking his hand.
His expression softens in surprise at the last part of what she says. He's looking away after that, clearly unsure of how to even respond to that very last part. Guess with something depressing and almost impossible to hear, thanks to how quietly it's said: ]
The last people I fully trusted were murdered because of me.
[ After that, he shakes his head and looks at her again. ]
Anyway... if they do decide to give me another chance, I'll be surprised, but... [ hesitance. . . ] ... I wouldn't necessarily shoot it down, as long as murdering a classmate isn't part of any tests.
