[Upon closer inspection... perhaps it's not as innocent as it seems. While the person in question was always pale-- especially after just shaking off his sickness-- the pallor of his skin is not good. In fact if you look really close, he's not moving at all, not even after Tess speaks up.

Unfortunately... there's only one natural conclusion.

Sherlock Holmes is dead.

[ She looks back towards the door, then calmly walks over there. ]

[ He's gonna come flying, Hollyleaf's food in hand and everything-- ]

[ kaoru is next to akira, eyes fixed on sherlock's body in disbelief. she's shaking. she falls silent. ]

I...I was under the impression that...nobody would do this.

... I hoped no one would.

[ They'd all seemed like a decent lot, hadn't they? And now one of them has done something drastic, and deadly. ]

I can understand being driven by bad memories, but... that's not worth taking a life.

It...it isn't.

[ she closes her eyes. ] I...I'm sorry. I don't think I can be here any longer.

... S'ok. No one's going to force you to stay.

[ He doesn't really want to either, but... ... for the moment, it feels respectful of him to stay. ]

[ Oh god, that announcement is... probably one of the last things Mishima wanted to hear this morning, but he hurries over to where everyone is starting to gather, and instantly seeks out Akira -- who, thankfully, he finds pretty quickly. ]

God... I'm glad you're okay. But someone seriously--

[ He stops and bites his lip. ]

[ He's not... really ready to look to see for himself. ]

Sherlock Holmes.

[ There's an irony here, but he isn't all that interested in finding it. There's nothing good or ironic about finding a body. ]

I wouldn't go in there, unless you feel you can stomach it. It's... regardless of the state of the body, it's still a body.

[ His eyes widen. ]

Someone killed Sherlock Holmes?

[ He kind of feels like he should look now, but... well, he already looks a little green and queasy just talking about this, so... he'll probably listen to Akira. ]

[ he looks over at how kaoru is shaking. flat himself doesn't look that shaken up. maybe a little sad but...not much. ]

He'd...he'd just recovered from being ill-- [ she cuts herself off. she can't even acknowledge that flat was right. ]

Yeah, that's why they probably killed him.

He was from where I came from. He was this thing we call a Heroic Spirit, which is like a super powerful being based on a character or legend. But we had all our abilities taken away, so I guess he was nothing more than a tall and skinny man.

[Maya's somehow just as loud in the distance as she is up close, because she's rushing over fast. She nearly stumbles over herself when she sees it.]

I wouldn't say anyone here seems like a real Moriarty, though, so that's not too surprising.

But what if this Sherlock Holmes had already gone through Reichenbach? Wouldn't that mean that he's died for good?

Would it, though? I mean, imagine if Sir Arthur Conan Doyle tried to kill off Sherlock Holmes again in his own lifetime and received the same sort of public backlash.

Ohh, I get it! Then let's send a strongly-worded email to Sir Doyle saying to bring Mister Holmes back!! And then he'll come back for sure!
