WEEK 8
[When you wake up, there's a text message in all of your inboxes, warning about how stressful exams week can be. The email comes replete with names of study sessions, tutoring hours, and free pizza on other parts of the campus. And it encourages you to check online for the exam schedule based on your class and section number.
There's also a note that there will be weekly stress puppy pop ups to help you relax? So that's nice and thoughtful! But ultimately, at Fayflower, they just want to make sure everyone has what they need to do well on their exams.
What a nice email.
But things have obviously deteriorated around you, with the wall looking visibly... damaged? If you get close, it's extremely easy to lose track of yourself... and you might come away with a few bruises you didn't know you got. Who knows. Maybe Terra?
Happy final week.]

THURSDAY
EVENT
It's fun in the morning, all the way through lunch. Hm. Not bad?
However, by now it's afternoon. Though the week as a whole has passed without much incident even with the prospect of the final exam looming over the horizon, something... strange is happening. You started from 26 and are now left with 9, there were an excessive amount of paintball guns and paintballs. And in a large campus like this, that means there's an awful lot of space around, doesn't it?
So it may take a while to notice, but it quickly becomes apparent that if you're on the first floor of the main building, there is a dark haze of acrid smoke the closer you get to the corridors closest to the washrooms, the gym and the classroom. As pungent as the smoke smells, it's not on the level of "everything is on fire, including yourself" but it never hurts to take a look, right?]

Hope you don't mind company, Terra. Rantaro's hastening his pace to join you.]

[Rantaro covers his mouth as he follows Terra... Really should have gotten a face mask or something, but he doesn't want to leave Terra on his own.]

deadland chat ping! (closed to the dead)
[ After being mysteriously absent for most of Thursday, Osomatsu leaves the nurse's office very late at night, borderline midnight. ]
[ The area where his left eye used to be is all bandaged up again. Sorta; it's not as heavily bandaged up as when he originally lost the eye. Oddly enough, Oso himself, despite looking exhausted from the lingering effects of the anesthetic and painkillers, seems to be in a slightly better mood. As much as he can be. On second thought, it's hard to tell what mood he's in. ]
[ He gets hit with a dizzy spell and trips over his own feet, falling over. ]
Agh-- damnit!
[ He gets back up to his knees, holding his head with one hand, and starts talking to himself. ]
...Don't worry, Osomatsu. You'll be back to working condition in no time.
[ But right now, his head hurts. Blame the side effects of the anesthetic. ]
[ ...Now as for why he's up in the first place. ]
[ He staggers to the computer lab again. Once he finally gets there, he sits at the computer, starts it up and waits for a new notification. ]

Mitarai was saying some nonsense and I thought you'd like to talk to a friendly face. Font face at least.
It's Rebecca.

[ It's mostly only because Osomatsu might not be able to call the dead for a while after this, so... ]
[ He reluctantly opens the chat. ]

Maya told me that I should probably talk to you. I didn't want to because I know you're upset with me :( But I think it'd be for the best if I did.
How are you? :)
