WEEK 8

[When you wake up, there's a text message in all of your inboxes, warning about how stressful exams week can be. The email comes replete with names of study sessions, tutoring hours, and free pizza on other parts of the campus. And it encourages you to check online for the exam schedule based on your class and section number.

There's also a note that there will be weekly stress puppy pop ups to help you relax? So that's nice and thoughtful! But ultimately, at Fayflower, they just want to make sure everyone has what they need to do well on their exams.

What a nice email.

But things have obviously deteriorated around you, with the wall looking visibly... damaged? If you get close, it's extremely easy to lose track of yourself... and you might come away with a few bruises you didn't know you got. Who knows. Maybe Terra?

He might be able to find a smoke grenade that's been thrown in the center.

He raises a brow at it. But time to continue to walk around to see if there's anything else. He has a concern but nothing to do but search. ]

Rantaro's keeping an eye out for trouble while Terra does the investigation bit.]

There are 7 of these, all close by! They're all different colors, and it's a pretty... intense smell.

[ Okay, that's all well and good, but he'll continue his investigation efforts, spreading further out into the room, and hoping he doesn't find out something stupid or worse happened. ]

[He's nudging Terra's shoulder with his elbow and using his free hand to jab a finger at the smoke grenades. What are we gonna do with these?!]

[ He blinks at him and then he just...

Shrugs and gestures a little. Like he doesn't know what to do with them. He has such little experience with grenades but if they went off it's totally fine to leave them there until they're done searching, right? ]

[... He moves a foot like he wants to kick some of them away.

But he doesn't try that just yet. That might be a bad idea.]

[ He makes an X with his hands and gestures to the room.

Let's keep looking around and deal with them later, basically. ]

It's smokey. Anywhere in particular they want to look?

[ Well, sight is hampered by smoke so Terra is stepping around carefully. He might be starting towards wherever the walls may be (or trying to) in case someone or something is lying up against one of them. ]

Nothing against the walls!

[ Okay since Ran is sticking close to him Terra will be making the decisions. Too bad the room is so smokey though because it's hard to necessarily navigate towards a particular spot like this. So he'll be wandering from one end of the gym to another. Generally trying to head to the equipment in here. ]

Nothing around the equipment, except the grenades he's already found.

Unless he gets confused and thinks he found new ones. That's a possibility.

[Actually, he's got an idea.

He taps Terra on the shoulder and attempts to lead him back to the wall. Then he just follows along the wall until he gets to a door... Then attempts to open the closest door.

With any luck, this should air out some of the smoke outside... But if this ain't the door to the outside, he'll just continue along the wall and open the next door. Ya see where this is going?]

That door needs to be opened-- but it's a little obvious the smoke is flowing out of the room from the other doors, and into the hallways.

[Huh...

He's gonna continue along the walls of the gym here to see if he can find a closed door... He's looking for one that leads outside to the courtyard or something.]

That one is closed!

[Rantaro is gonna try and open it...]

It opens! Nothing is wrong with it, and it isn't locked.

It also lets some smoke escape.

[That was the plan.

Now to attempt to return to the center and pick up one of the smoke grenades. Anything weird about them?]

[Rantaro's gonna stick close to Terra here. It's gonna be hard if they got seperated.]
