Final Exam.

[ It's all happened very suddenly, but regardless, you're here now. The evidence has been examined and collected. You've now been ushered into the classroom to discuss the murder of the great detective himself, Sherlock Holmes. The traditional set up has been disturbed-- all the desks are now arranged in a perfect circle; one desk for each person that's participating in the program. There are nameplates for everyone, and they have been bolted to each of the desks, facing the inside of the circle...

...including the names of the ones who are no longer with you, the Prospect of Elucidating and the Prospect of Murder. Their chairs have been placed on top of their desks, signifying that they will not be needed. Above of their desks are holograms of their portraits from their profiles, grayed out and bloodstained.

At the front of the classroom, Vivienne sits anxiously behind the teacher's desk. The projector shows Sherlock's portrait, along with five other portraits that are listed under an auspicious header. ]

Suspects.



[ The physical evidence tray sits in the middle of the circle of desks; you all have the Evidence app on your tablets to access photo evidence. And although she appears reluctant, Vivienne gives some final instructions. ]

Your final test... is to find the culprit. Naturally... the person you find guilty will be... punished... so... make sure you look for an answer you're... confident in. An error in judgment would be... cruelly... fatal...

Not really. [ he chuckles awkwardly ] I wanna go home as much as everyone here, but I think that, if it's true, then Mishima doesn't deserve to die. And I don't think Viv deserves to die either.

Me? Nah. But I'm pretty used to being almost killed. Actually dying can't be much worse, ahaha!

[ His hands ball into fists at his sides. ]

Look, you did something stupid, but murder is murder. No matter what motive you had, you still did an awful thing. And no amount of justification is going to make that okay. You're a kid, and I'd still bet Sherlock put it in your head first.

Which was gross irresponsibility.

But I don't think he put it in your head because of everyone else.

Do you not see? While the death of a Heroic Spirit is something expendable, the fact that many people were willing to sacrifice themselves for you is not. Useful tools for the earth would have been wasted. You're not any more special than any of us.

[It's true that it's been a bad week for most everyone here -- he can't really even imagine how it must have been for some of the others considering how many different backgrounds are represented. But even still.]

I won't vote for you. But did you consider if everyone else wanted you to do something like this for them?
