Exam 1 Results.
Prospects, you were successful in uncovering the guilty party. Grantaire, Apprentice Revolutionary, is responsible for the murder of Yoosung Kim, and therefore he will be facing the consequences of his actions.

A Little Fall of Rain...
The projector whirrs to life, a soft blue light filling the air as it shines onto the screen up front. Grantaire, whom had just been with you a moment ago, is nowhere to be found. Not until the live feed playing for you.
Large white robots have him restrained by the arms, dragging him through the hall, a strange song on their lips. It is largely mechanical in tone; which makes it nearly impossible to tell whether it is sung in honest reverence or in mockery. There are moments where their bodies jerk unnaturally, like they’re being bombarded with two different commands at once and remain stuck between them. Yet they don’t stop. They refuse to falter. And gradually their movements become smoother and less disjointed.
Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the songs of angry men?
They carry his limp body to the courtyard. Amongst the signs of life so bright and vivid; he is pale, head bent, with dark hair covering his face. What is he thinking? It’s impossible to tell. There are only the words which he’s left with all of you from which to guess.
It is the music of the people
Who will not be slaves again!
He is pushed to the ground; to his knees, held there by mechanical arms that will not allow him to budge. Bent over, with his head hanging, there is but one thing for him to see-- a single yellow tulip, standing defiantly amongst the grass, alone but not beaten.
From around the corner, Megumi comes running into the courtyard. She puts her hand on the robot’s shoulder and her entire hand glows blue, reflecting a similar white, robotic interior within her hand. Electricity runs through it, but she’s too easily distracted.
The other steps back and pulls a metallic blade from it’s back with a steady hand. She screams and fights to free herself, but her strength is futile against the larger machine. It feels like an eternity, yet it ends in a painful instant.
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start--
With a heavy slice, his head falls-- And in its place that bright yellow tulip remains, spatters of blood like stars on a dark, cloudless night.
...when tomorrow comes.
Megumi drops to her knees as Grantaire's body collapses on itself. She buries her face in her hands and screams, as the feed cuts off in the classroom and the doors are unlocked.]

Megumi... San...?
[... He leaves the classroom without another word.]

This horrible mockery. She hears the song, the slice, the scream...and just lets her shoulders droop. ]

She leaves the room when it's over without a word.]

Wide, and focused far more on Megumi than it is on the criminal.
As soon as the doors unlock, he's gone.]

It's worse than any guilty verdict she's ever seen. This isn't what a trial should be.]

From the eery robotic singing that makes you feel ill to the slicing of his head, the screaming.. it's a bit too much and as soon as they're allowed to leave 2-D just.. makes a b-line for the nearest bathroom, amazed he was able to keep bile down to begin with at all.]

Because fuck it, y'all.
He called dibs.]

[ So Osomatsu thought that maybe he'd get some catharsis from seeing R get his comeuppance. Nope. ]
[ Everything sinks in too much. All of this. All of everything. ]
[ Unlike on his show, there's no coming back from death in this place. That's what makes this even worse. Nobody's ever gonna come back. ]
[ As Megumi screams and the feed cuts off, all of Osomatsu's stress reaches it's boiling point and he falls to his knees in shock. ]

We're leaving, Doris!
[He doesn't want to see that. The noise when the head is cut is bad enough.
The moment he can run back to his room, he does]

I didn't come back... to fail like this...
[She hunches over pitifully and rests there, staring at the grass. It's cool, but she feels like everything's on fire.]
What... what was it all for...?
[She stays like this for a long while, even after everyone's been released. And there she stays, that you might bother her if you wish. Or perhaps... ask some questions about that display back there...]

Please don't do or say anything you might regret, Megumi.
We're all in this together.

[She didn't watch the execution but gosh darnit she wouldn't ignore the fat that Megumi was still here!!]
Hey. You... [She saw her try to save him, and fail.] I'm so sorry, Megumi.

[ His voice is just kind of concerned...and also a little like 'hold on a moment', for more than one reason. ]
...this isn't your fault. We already know this isn't something we can stop easily. But we can, and we will--we can't give up yet.

as composed as he was in trial, he now looks more like any regular 19 year old would look like upon seeing this macabre scene. he’s horrified.
