[ connor takes her hand, his skin receding so he can interface with her. he shows her not just his own determination, but the strong determination of others, too. everything he can share to let her know that she's supported; that she doesn't have to be alone in this horrible mess. that everyone believes that she is strong, and that she can win.

after all, what good are words when you can share feelings? when you can share proof? ]

[It’s different, being on the receiving end like this. But when she closes her eyes it’s so easy to take it all in; let those feelings wash over her. There are still people who are counting on her— that actually trust her. And they aren’t giving up. Now more than ever, she has to be strong for their sake. She can’t abandon them when they’ve put so much faith in her despite her past.

Vivienne opens her eyes and smiles.]

[She gently takes her hand back— and wraps her arms around his neck, hugging him softly. He has done so much these past two weeks. And she knows it’s been hard for him. She wasn’t the easiest person to deal with— and on top of that, everything else. He... he deserved that support too. He probably needed it more than he’d let anyone know. So... she’s going to stop making him worry about her all the time and try to be the figure of support that she should be for her... her friends m.]

[ connor is surprised to find her hugging him. it's such a human gesture and he never expects it so it takes him a moment before he reciprocates. it's nice, in a different way. it's certainly kind of her. ]
