[Later into the evening, everyone will find familiar handwritten notes on their doors. It's pretty obvious who it's from:]

"Please come to the cafeteria if you don't want to be alone or talk some things out. Emiya (Shirou) will be preparing food. You're also welcome to bring your notebooks if you'd rather just write with company."

[Those who decide to come will find nothing has really changed in the cafeteria, but Monika sitting at one of the tables while Shirou cooks in the kitchen. She has a new stack of notebooks and pens with her in case someone needs it. Monika does her best to greet everyone with a smile. The only real comfort though is the smell of good food.]

[ Terra's expression softens a little at that.

He doesn't like the executions still, but he wondered if ... he decides to not finish the thought. ]

I knew him, though that probably was a little obvious.

[ Pause. ]

...did you ever speak to him at all?

A few times, yes. He had one of the rooms next to mine - I borrowed his mattress on Monday.

You didn't mind him too much, though, right?

[ That's why he acknowledged the blond mentioning Yoosung's name -- not in so many words until now. He'll continue speaking so if Viral doesn't want to acknowledge it, he's free not to. ]

...I used to try my best to look after him when I could. He kind of reminded me of someone back home, just a little.

[machrophage]

He wasn't at all bad, no. Perhaps a bit flighty, but... humans just seem to be.

[buriedearth]

[ There's a small laugh, but it's not really filled with as much humor as it could be. ]

...You were prepared to hold me back, weren't you? Just in case I went overboard.

[ He wasn't blind that the blond had trailed him when he tried to see about punching Grantaire, so. ]

Yes. Though I would have let you have a good hit or two. He deserved it.

[Especially from the Entrance Exam group.]

He did.

[ He sighs, he's still wired up from all of that, but he wishes it hasn't come to this again. But, all they really do was just...move on, right? Right now, though, it was still raw. ]

...He wasn't as smart as he thought he was, either.

[machrophage]

I don't know what he was thinking, raising a thousand petty objections when he was already cornered.

[This wasn't a case of innocent until proven guilty.]

I don't know, maybe he was trying to get some kind of highground at the end because he wasn't happy he got caught.

[ Or wanted to irritate them all into wanting to punch his face even more, he supposes but that's just his frustration talking. ]

Who knows. Doesn't exactly matter at this point.
