[Later into the evening, everyone will find familiar handwritten notes on their doors. It's pretty obvious who it's from:]

"Please come to the cafeteria if you don't want to be alone or talk some things out. Emiya (Shirou) will be preparing food. You're also welcome to bring your notebooks if you'd rather just write with company."

[Those who decide to come will find nothing has really changed in the cafeteria, but Monika sitting at one of the tables while Shirou cooks in the kitchen. She has a new stack of notebooks and pens with her in case someone needs it. Monika does her best to greet everyone with a smile. The only real comfort though is the smell of good food.]

[ Osomatsu speaks in a grim tone, only barely loud enough for the both of them to hear. ]

Don't let me die. For the love of god, please don't let me die.

[ Christ, kid. What else can Hank say to that? ]

I won't.

[ He's a cop. He's... supposed to do better. So he will. Maybe...? ]

[ososoi]

[ And with that, the dam breaks. Osomatsu finally bursts into ugly sobbing, crying into Hank's chest, his drunken mind not caring that he's doing this where people can see him. ]

[ He'll probably deny this sort of thing tomorrow, when he's sober. But for now, he'll just cry. ]

[ It's gonna be a very long two months. ]

[ Hank lets him cry, even rubs his back while the kid just loses it. It's cool, he doesn't like this shirt anyway. Just let it all out.

It's gonna be some long fucking months, that's for sure. ]
