Exam 3
[ Once again, the exam begins with the desks arranged in a perfect circle; one desk for each person that's participating in the program. There are nameplates for everyone, and they have been bolted to each of the desks, facing the inside of the circle...
...including the deceased. Their chairs have been placed on top of their desks, signifying that they will not be needed. Above of their desks are holograms of their portraits from their profiles, grayed out and bloodstained.
Today Han is absent-- only Megumi is present at the front of the classroom. ]
Today you are responsible for finding the culprit responsible for the death of Maya Fey, the Apprentice Falsely Accused.
Your exam begins now.
[ The physical evidence tray sits in the middle of the circle of desks; you all have the Evidence app on your tablets to access photo evidence. ]
Examination START.

But you have strong logic on your side. You're right that she's defensive, but she's not unreasonable.

[ he points at stuart ]
He's the only one from this list that would have considered a stupid instrument "precious".

[BOI HE DONT CARE ABOUT NO GUITAR if it was a keyboard though]

Now who's being defensive? I think, when you're dealing with a murder, something like that would be ridiculous, and even he would know that.

[A Servant can apologize for his future Master.]
I have no intention of avoiding anyone's suspicion.

[ DON'T MAKE WAVER GO OVER THERE TO SLAP YOU ]

...as long as you live to make it there.
[So don't do anything stupid.]

[ Shirou doesn't say anything himself, but he... understands this sentiment as well, given he's also a Servant as well. There's a distinct reaction as his fingers curl in and out of a frustrated fist as his eyes glance down at the desk, unable to say a single word without sounding like a hypocrite. ]

[ waver tears up, but tries to keep himself as angry as possible ]
It won't be the same and you know it. If I lost in the Grail War, then it means that you won't live then either!

[Suddenly this is... very serious?]
The version of myself that was summoned here-- unlike the one you summoned, had no wish for the grail. I wonder if that is why I was able to find the answer that even he could not.
A wish grander even than Okeanos.

[ waver looks at him with wide eyes, confused. he understands that okeanos turned out to be a fraud, and even iskandar himself told him that.
but...what could be greater than that? ]
What are you talking about?
no subject
[...oh well. He can't complain about it too terribly. This is the idiot he loves after all.]
There is only one sight I have my eyes set on now.
[And if you were confused, his burning gaze should make it clear enough now.
It's you.]

Nonetheless, if it keeps Waver Velvet out of danger, I'll be just as happy to accept it. I am, after all, just a Servant.

...at least, as I was when I was young. The one most would recognize... well that's apparently not how I was summoned this time.
But I understand. I will be conscious of that. Nonetheless I feel it's something you all should keep in mind when you have to make that choice.
[Because someone has to die, you know?]

Because even if you die, disappear and get resummoned, you won't remember any of this because of how the Throne of Heroes works.

[That is... well it does make it more difficult.]
