Exam 3
[ Once again, the exam begins with the desks arranged in a perfect circle; one desk for each person that's participating in the program. There are nameplates for everyone, and they have been bolted to each of the desks, facing the inside of the circle...
...including the deceased. Their chairs have been placed on top of their desks, signifying that they will not be needed. Above of their desks are holograms of their portraits from their profiles, grayed out and bloodstained.
Today Han is absent-- only Megumi is present at the front of the classroom. ]
Today you are responsible for finding the culprit responsible for the death of Maya Fey, the Apprentice Falsely Accused.
Your exam begins now.
[ The physical evidence tray sits in the middle of the circle of desks; you all have the Evidence app on your tablets to access photo evidence. ]
Examination START.

I found this in the common room; also the tables and chairs were overturned as well.

Someone tracked in some dirt and blood when they went from the garden to the music room. The prints they left behind were about the same size as mine.
[And his feet are pretty large, so.]

It was in the kitchen, returned to the knife block. I couldn't see any fingerprints on it.
It was pretty messy in the kitchen too - a lot of chairs were scattered around, kinda like they'd been thrown towards something?

Alright, me and Waver were in the garden. Waver got a better look at the body than I did, but one thing's for sure. Maya was knocked out first. She had a bump on the back of her head that was definitely before she died, so whoever did this didn't even go for the kill on the first blow.
[ Hank shakes his head. Oh, he also has a shovel with him. ]
This thing has blood on the handle, but nowhere else, so that rules out it bein' used to knock out Maya. But there were also some flowers that were laid flat and had blood on 'em. I think that's it for what I found, anyway.
\
There was a blood trail leading out the door to the hallway going all the way to the back of the cafeteria and close to the kitchen. The sandal I found nearby the kitchen door where there was a huge puddle of blood and...there was this outline like a body's shape in the blood.
And then there was this smudged bloody handprint on the same kitchen door, and it looked like it slid all the way to the floor. I'm guessing as if someone had placed their hand on the door and...
[ Yeah. Okay. ]

Very well. If you have questions, then I shall answer them!

SHOE CHECK
Hey! Sorry for interrupting something, but if Olga-san found footprints that looked like they were around his shoe size, then wouldn't it make sense to try and compare the shoes of the suspects to Olga-san's shoes?
[He glances at Olga for confirmation.]
It might give us a useful hint.

handcheck! + mods a bit??
[ So even though Terra has an inkling that the smudged handprint on the kitchen door could be Maya's, is there any way to discern if it could match up with any of the suspects' hands? And if so, how does that do in comparison to them?
That aside, he's also going to be checking people's hands if there's anything strange going on with them. He's going to be looking intently, so show him ur palms and fingernails. ]

I'd like to provide another timeline if it's not too much trouble for you all to... listen...
[and WATCH because he has COLORED DIAGRAMS to display on his tablet but it turns out this is almost exactly what Waver just said]
We know that at one point Miss Fey was in the common room of the dormitory. After all, her necklace was removed - but the culprit didn't stab her at this point. Which means if they were holding any kind of weapon, it was just the guitar. (Maybe they wanted to look like they weren't armed...) The culprit chased her all the way to the kitchen, where they took a knife [nauseous] stabbed her 28 times... She lost almost all her blood here, and if she survived much longer it was probably just to leave that handprint or something... The knife was put away.
The culprit then brought her body to the garden for a burial. They were covered in blood and dirt at this point as they returned the guitar to the music room. Unless the culprit had some means of disguising their feet, the shoe check shows the person who did that part is either Connor, Alex, or 2D.
I have one more question. The culprit must have not particularly minded getting covered in blood from all this stabbing, with blood remaining on the shovel and guitar as well... so it's very odd to me she wasn't just stabbed in the carotid artery... meaning the neck... you know?
no subject
You also missed the fact that the killer picked up a perfectly good guitar and got blood on it, too.
But yeah, the rest of it makes enough sense.

gait check??
Hey. 2-D, Alex, Connor. Come over here; there's somethin' I wanna check.
[Assuming they walk over, Orga will be paying careful attention to their gait; if there's anything unusual about it, if it's particularly idiosyncratic, how long the strides are, etc.]
