WEEK SEVEN
[Week seven is here. Surely the course is drawing to a close soon? There are more places to explore, and there can't be that much more going on but...
The wall is actually very ominous now, like something has been awakened. The field is almost impossible to be near, that's how oppressive the wall is around it. There are also physical signs of darkness dotting the wall.
Welcome, you're almost near the end.]

Wild rice soup, with baguette
Dinner: Foie Gras
Glazed teriyaki tofu over greens and seasonal veggies

But that didn't necessarily mean it was a bad thing.
It was the promise that he fulfilled with her. A wish. To take her with him to school and show her what the daily school life was like. The fact that she was happy was enough to make his heart flutter, even if he understood that those feelings were not his own. They were borrowed, just like this body.
"Do you see something, Saber?"
"No, nothing in particular. This is the town of Fuyuki, as we have always known it."
In those words... did she actually know? That it was a recreation? That it was all fake?
"Then let's go home. You said there wasn't anything particularly special, right?"
"Yes. Still, I would like to stay here and look a bit longer. So that I will remember this view, as long as I live."
"Oh, you're exaggerating. It's no big deal, you know? You can come out here and look again tomorrow."
But the memories of this false world would disappear. The events would have never happened.
His thoughts from back then slip through the cracks.
Not just tomorrow, but until eternity.
The Holy Grail War will never end.
Even if I were to die and she were to disappear...
This peaceful life would go on forever.
As long as the fighting never ends, and as long as no one wishes for an end to it...
That promise will never be reduced to a simple wish.
And she answers him.
"--But, you could never allow that. You do not have the patience after all. Is that not right? In this Utopia where nobody has been lost, you alone see the value in lost things."
Maybe... if he closed his eyes to everything that was happening around him and pretended that everything was peaceful, that he could just allow the days to pass him by, he could find himself grabbing happiness. He could find meaning in this life that he's obtained.
But it's just not possible.
Not for "Emiya Shirou". And more importantly, not to Tsukasa either, as he is now. He cannot disregard what was lost. Not when he's gained so much out of it. He isn't going to take it anymore.
And more importantly, that happiness that he would obtain this way would not be real.
Saber... the way she said those words. Did she know who he truly was? That he wasn't the real Emiya Shirou? And even so, she decided to protect him. Because she wouldn't make promises that she just couldn't keep.
"Please do not make such a sad face. It will be alright. Even if the end comes, it will not be farewell."
"It won't?"
"No-- We shall each return to the future we desire."
She's right. They need to return to the future that they both desire. That was something that she said, so he has to ascertain it. Just like that smile she gave to him that day.
There's no tears as he exits his room, but Tsukasa seems to be with some sort of purpose. People might find him with that bow and arrow of his-- but he's also going to be running to grab a vaulting horse from the gym's equipment closet. He needs one for this one purpose. Which he'll do in the afternoon.
His morning hours are spent, however, unsurprisingly in the simulation room. This time, he's opted to recreate a classroom, where he sits in Emiya Shirou's seat. What people might notice about the desk that he's sitting on is that there seems to be a crater in the middle of the desk-- as if it was dealt a horrific blow by an iron hammer, even though that isn't actually the case. While he seems to be alone (as in, he's opted not to recreate anybody else for the sake of this simulation) he also seems to be distracted with a notebook out as he seems to be writing something... but what?
Around lunchtime, Tsukasa seems to be back at it in the kitchen, cooking like crazy. For those who are Japanese (or are familiar with Japanese food) he seems to be making taiyaki. He's kind of glad that both the ingredients and the materials for making it were around. That way, he can keep his promise.
A little later in the afternoon is when Tsukasa sets his plan in motion. That vaulting horse he got? He's taking it - and his lunch - all the way up to the rooftop. He's actually planning on eating up here first, though, since it gives him a rather nostalgic feeling. But he knows this sense of nostalgia isn't his own.
Well, whatever. He can eat his goddamn lunch... and then get down to business.
Which he does, stretching himself out before getting up on the vault horse to make himself taller-- the fence is only five feet, after all, he should be able to shoot over it like this.
Quietly, but with precision, he grabs the arrow and puts it into position. He's going to do it. He's going to shoot over the fence towards the horizon in an attempt to see what happens. He precisely aims at two spots: straight forward, then diagonally upwards towards the sky. He'll be watching to see what happens from here. ]

Everything felt too dark at the moment, and it was overwhelming. His Mast--no, his Father was no more, and he knew who to blame.
--
Terra does his normal routine, but...he's not really all there and heads out from the gym early. Then he's going to be investigating the AVR room.
Following that, he's going to spend some time in the garden. While he's in there sitting on the grass, he has something that's definitely a Keyblade of some sort in his lap. Then, he'll retire to bed earlier than he does usually. ]

Akira wakes up with a jolt, hand flying wildly forwards, like he's reaching for something that isn't there at all -- when he realises what he's doing, his hand drops to the bed with a thud and he curls in on himself, digging his fingers into his arms and doesn't move until he's pulled himself together.
When he's up and about, showered and dressed, the first thing he does is swing by the kitchens and cook. He's completely focused on what he's doing -- chopping specific ingredients, grating apple, measuring out tonkatsu sauce and other spices, cubing potatoes, and adding it all in a big pot. Simmering, boiling and cooking it down into a pot of curry that smells deeply like home to him. While it's cooking away, he sets up a pot of coffee to brew to go alongside it.
When both are done, he leaves both the pot of curry and the coffee on the side with a little note: LeBlanc Special, and takes a plate of it himself.
Later, he can be found in the library, surrounded by books. So many books. He's got notebooks from the store, and pens and highlighters and is just writing notes and dates like he's in some kind of trance. But the notes keep stopping and being replaced with doodles and sketches, of a cat and what looks like the plushie he's had in his room a couple of weeks. Finally he just stops and stares at the doodles instead, before pushing up his glasses and rubbing at his eyes. ]

Investigation
Well.... at least he now knows who Mushitarou Oguri is now... and the context behind the short story he texted to Ranpo.
The first thing Poe does in the morning is to go and knock on Nikolai Gogol's door. This... is most certainly something that needs to be discussed between them.]
We need to talk. Now.
[After however that conversation ends... Poe goes to the astronomy studies... and takes a telescope from there up to the rooftop for investigative purposes.. He's going to try looking through the telescope to see as far out as possible the area around the school. Just... he's going to look for anything out of the ordinary or not forest.
Later in the day, Poe can be found in the library reading one of Mushitarou Oguri's works. "Perfect Crime".]

[ ...Well that was a weird memory. ]
[ Osomatsu hasn't had that kind of memory since several weeks ago. And he's missed that, honestly. Just simple weirdness. Or rather, not so simple, because it started with all of them playing baseball and then it ended with him and his brothers losing a galactic baseball game and dying in space with no clothes on. Huh. ]
[ Again, he's missed memories like that. And said memories just make him miss the status quo much more. ]
[ Osomatsu wakes up feeling like shit, though that's not surprising. Especially considering everything that happened with Mitarai. ]
[ ...Wow, Oso's really fallen behind on several things, hasn't he? He's fallen behind on easing the tension and he's fallen behind on trying to be more responsible. But... ]
[ "...Ya got people that care for you, alright? So don't go givin' up yet." ]
[ He's making baby steps again. Every little bit helps. For everyone. Like consoling Poe and helping Rantaro yesterday. Now here's to hoping he doesn't screw this up again. ]
[ But considering this place, it's hard not to screw up. But he'll keep trying his best. He'll keep trying, for the remaining others' sake. ]
[ He sits up from his makeshift futon, the photo album still resting on his leg. Since the mirror routine stopped working for him, the photo album is one of the few things keeping him remotely stable. And fortunately, he's smart enough to leave it safe in his room most of the time. Where no one can damage it. ]
[ ...Yeah, he still misses his brothers. ]
[ He sighs and delicately moves the photo album somewhere else in his room. ]
[ Once he's out and about, Osomatsu can be seen in several locations. ]
[ First, he's at the Arcade, playing some of the game machines that give out tickets. He's gonna be here a while. ]
[ Secondly, he's later at the Art Room. Oso seems to be drawing something in pencil. Anyone who looks closer will see that he's trying to draw all of those that have died (though Grantaire and Mitarai are absent. It looks like he tried to draw Mike before giving up halfway). It's not the best art quality in the world, but it's charming in it's own way. ]
[ Though by the time someone walks in, he's already done everybody and has moved onto another picture. It's a picture of him and his brothers. ]
[ Osomatsu looks (and feels) like crap and will probably seem that way for the most of the day. ]

MAJOR DRV3 SPOILERS
With this fresh in his mind, it felt somewhat ironic when his next memory involved another video. A live action video. A video with only a backdrop, a chair, and a very familiar narrator...
"First things first, I... Am you. No tricks, no actors. It's you. The reason you don't remember recording this is because that memory was erased."
Huh. Guess he wasn't supposed to remember recording that then. His own memories through the past two months had been fragmented and scrambled... If they were erased before... That would explain it.
What wasn't so clear was that weird survivor's perk he mentioned in his memory. As far as he knew, he only participated in one killing game before this, Monokuma's game. But the other part of that perk was given to him during that previous killing game, and in this scenario it found its way back to him bloodstained and busted. It was useless here, which means...
"Now I thought if you were smart, you would have used it to end the killing game. But if you're watching this, that obviously didn't work out. Life's never easy, huh?"
Of course it didn't work out, he didn't even get a chance to try. Still... He got another chance. He survived this long. Long enough to realize how many must be dead back home... Long enough to realize just how similar to this mess the game was...
Long enough to want to kick himself for trying to give himself bad advice.
"So watch your back, trust no one, and never forget... You wanted this killing game, so you have to win no matter what."
What the hell was he thinking? This isn't a game... This nightmare is far from a game. He doesn't want that or anything like it anymore.
Ugh... He's trying to make sense of it all as he walks out the door, only to be greeted by a giant box containing a go kart. Neat, a drivable reminder of the mess that was Midterms, whoop de doo. He's not in the mood to go driving around inside the building, so instead he'll go straight to the roof to try and get a good look at the horizon...
It's not a good look either.
If anyone needs him, he'll be up there for most of the day.]

investigation!
"...Akihiro."
"Yeah, so if you do something behind your family's back, you're gonna regret it. Believe it or not, Orga, you don't have to handle everything by yourself. It's something we can do together."
"...Thanks."
A new week means new areas, so it's probably no surprise to find that Orga's also made his way to the rooftop, with binoculars on hand. He seems to have already tried his hand at surveying the surroundings, so he's mostly just looking around the edges of the roof. And for anyone that approaches:]
...Think they've got any cameras here, too?
[His next stop seems to be the robotics laboratory, which he seems to be making an effort of investigating.
After that, he can be found at the school festival in the evening, looking pretty confused at the selection of attractions. He more or less leaves the game booths alone (although he'll go along with it if anyone drags him to one), focusing on some of the merchandise stands. Maybe you'll find him hovering in front of a bunch of yukata, or maybe he'll be staring skeptically at the taiyaki but he'll ultimately end up where the fireworks are, turning one of them around in his hand. If anyone comes by, he'll look up and ask.]
Ever use these before?

MONDAY MORNING MEETING
Especially as it's unsigned. ]
Quick check-up meeting at Starbucks at 10 AM. Breakfast will be provided if you don't want what's on the menu.
[ There's no excuse this time and more importantly-- he's opted to make the meeting itself in a public location on purpose.
And as he's said, he's made the decision to make breakfast and it's actually rather extravagant. He's made both a Japanese style breakfast (miso soup, pickled vegetable salad and grilled fish) and a huge stack of pancakes with syrup on top.
Seems like Tsukasa's going all out for this. But if anyone looks closely at him, they might notice that there are bags under his eyes. Did he even sleep? Nevertheless, he does clear his throat and speak up once everyone's shown up: ]
I did want to check in with everyone just in case, since I was a little worried. Did anybody else felt the earthquake yesterday?
[ That's all he's asking right now, but he'll explain further if anybody else wants to pipe in. ]

The young man says.
”On the other hand, the plan of the decay of angels is pure evil. But, that’s why it’s worth supporting”
It becomes very loud, man calling out over machine and then - it all stops. The show ends.
---
Well, that was yesterday. This is today.
Gogol heads up to the roof, early in the morning, staring over the fence and admiring the view until the artifice of it becomes far too offputting. Later, after the meeting, Gogol’s around the library, crochet project in hand and flicking through a book- Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky. As he’s come to stay here, this might be his third re-read.
By the afternoon, well, how was Gogol going to stay away from the festival for long? He gets all dressed up for the part, and he loses himself for hours to the joy of the festivities. He takes a particular interest in the water-gun target game, and in scooping the goldfish- though anyone who gets too close to him playing either might find themselves getting wet.
Nobody tell him where the fireworks are.]

It's a syringe.
He'll... be there just staring at it for a while.
An hour later, Poe is in the workshop standing over the utterly smashed remains of the syringe with a hammer in hand and a viciously pleased smile on his face. He'll clean up the mess once he's done catching his breath.
After that cathartic experience, Poe can be found finally cautiously exploring the festival that appeared. He has never been a fan of them. Too loud and too many people. But this one is far more tolerable with how few people are here. He has a reason to be here though. He's taking down notes in his notebook as to where the fireworks are and how many there are.]

Yup. The boy's finally having his own yard sard.
While he's manning the table, one might find he's holding onto a single silver earring that he found with all the junk. He's not keeping it, but he also doesn't know who this belongs to just yet. Hope someone here recognizes it...
Anyway, it's a fairly small yard sard, so after that's over he'll grab some masking tape from the art room and head into the boy's locker room. Time to pull out Han's phone, tape up the camera for good measure, and turn it on to see what secrets it hides.]

"DAMMIT OSWALD," a beautiful Australian accent can suddenly be heard clearly through the door. "DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW UPSET I AM? I HOPE YOU DO BECAUSE I HAVE RAISED MY VOICE."
Oswald is standing there; fists clenched tightly at his sides. But he doesn't move a muscle. He isn't a fool.
The same robot responsible for ripping Connor's life from him is standing guard there at the doorway, just behind the mysterious man raising his voice.
"Now, don't disobey an order again, or I'll have to get even seriouser."
"Of course, James," Oswald says with the barest attention paid to politeness.
"Jim," the other corrects with a suddenly chipper voice. And then he turns around to head out of the office.]

Later on, people might find him grabbing one of the candles from the shrine.
Hm.
But later in the afternoon-- after lunch, specifically-- Well. Hey, remember when Terra went into the AVR room? Yeah, Tsukasa's going to be making the same mistake here... but he's also purposely trying to keep himself hidden from the others and checking it out on his own-- but he's not going in unprepared, trying to stay careful, which is why he's not going to go inside just yet, instead just opening the door to check if anything happens first, holding a lit candle he's taken from the shrine in case it ends up being. MEANWHILE, IN THE NURSE'S OFFICE, THE MATSU AWAKENS
[ After everything that happened on Monday, it isn't really surprising that Osomatsu ends up unconscious for the rest of the day. He tosses and turns on occasion, but he doesn't really and truly wake up. ]
[ Until Tuesday. ]
[ The first thing he's aware of is pain. He lets out a hoarse cry as his hands clutch his head. Something happened. Something happened. It hurts. Why does it--? ]
[ He feels bandages. And he's suddenly aware that he can't see anything on his left. ]
[ The memories come crashing back. ]
[ He whimpers, then grabs for the bed sheets and wraps himself up like a cacoon. ]
...P-Please no....

[ So Osomatsu is missing his left eye now. ]
[ Since he's still recovering, he's gonna be in the nurse's office. He'll probably be fully out by Thursday, but for now, he'll spend most of the day in the nurse's office. ]
[ He's better than yesterday, at least, if only physically. The painkillers help a lot. ]
[ At one point, he's out of the nurse's office to go to his room. It was a struggle to get to his feet, but he makes it. ]
[ Going back, though, is a different story. ]
[ He staggers out carrying his photo album and crow plushie before tripping up and falling to the floor. He seems really off-balance. ]
[ He rises to his knees and starts picking up his stuff again. ]
[ He sighs, bringing his hand to his bandages. ]
Damnit...
[ Later on, Osomatsu is back in the nurse's office, sitting in bed, reading his album while holding a crow plushie. ]
[ He looks... kinda empty, honestly. But that doesn't mean that he can't have visitors. ]

CW: Suicide/Bullying, DDLC spoilers
"Please meet me in the Common Room tonight. I have something important to tell everyone." - Monika
[She waits there most of the later evening for everyone to show up. And when everyone is there, Monika stands up in front of the now small group of classmates she's gotten to know. Now it was time to get to know her.]
This week I remembered something important: that my world is gone. Gone by choice actually because I'm the one who "erased" it. I might look like it, but I'm not actually human. I don't want to go into exact details about what I am because it could make you go insane. So let's just simplify it to I'm something like an living A.I.
Back home...I had a very set path in life. Everything was picked for me, and I couldn't stand it. There was no happy ending for me, and it scared me so much. It lead me to make a lot of horrible decisions.
[She plays with her hair a little.]
I was jealous of my club members because they all had the chance to find happiness. It ended up not being difficult to manipulate them. I took it way too far though. I... pushed two of them to commit suicide. And the other I chose to erase as well. At the time it was easy to convince myself I didn't care about them because I was so different from them. I was forced to be friends with them because of that path that chosen for me. But when all was said and done...I regretted it. And I regret having to erase that whole world... but I really wasn't left with any choice.
Yet... somehow I ended up being here. I know most of you feel like that's horrible for all of us, and I agree that I do not enjoy how many of our friends have died. But I also feel like I've been given a second chance of some sorts. A chance to make real friends and build real relationships instead of being forced to follow a path. And for that I'm grateful. I feel.... more real thanks to you all.
That being said, after knowing all this, I understand if you no longer want to be friends or even distrust me. I honestly can't blame you. But everyone keeps saying what a "good" person I am. I don't feel "good," and I don't want to manipulate all of you like I did my clubmates. I just wanted you to know the "true" me.
Anyway... thanks for listening!
[A really awkward ending, but she's not really sure what else to say. Instead she just stands there nervously while waiting for a response.]

THURSDAY
Lunch: Spring rolls, with shrimp or tofu
Dinner: Lemon Garlic polenta, with or without shrimp
cw: eye trauma, emeto [in the last prompt]
[ Osomatsu is finally out of the nurse's office! ...Sorta. He still needs to go back occasionally for painkillers and check-ups, but otherwise, he's out. It's good to finally change back into his red hoodie after wearing the school uniform for a couple of days. ]
[ Oh, and Osomatsu has since 'upgraded' from bandages to a red eyepatch.]
[ One of the first things he does is set up a much belated yard sale. There's a lot of stuff here this time; there's three Sir Bacons and two of the same School Spirit shirts. He doesn't really want them. ]
[ Oso's sitting on the floor, looking for any takers. If anybody approaches him, he'll tilt his head heavily to the left and ask: ]
Anything yer interested in?
[ Feel free to trade with him. Or check if he has your stuff. ]
[ Later in the afternoon, he goes to the roof and just lies down, staring at the sky. He's deep in thought. ]
[ It looks like he might doze off at any second, considering how worn out he looks. ]
- Closed to Poe -
[ What's Osomatsu doing up at this hour in the night? He's in the boy's locker rooms, looking at himself in the mirror. ]
[ Now that he thinks about it, he hasn't seen the actual damage for himself yet. ]
[ ...Maybe checking the damage would... actually, he doesn't know why he wants to check the damage. Guess he's just really curious, sickeningly so. ]
[ Osomatsu stares at the mirror, takes a deep breath and takes off his eyepatch. His left eyelids are closed, with noticeable scarring. He winces at the sight, but so far it doesn't look horribly bad? Maybe if he just opens those eyelids up a little with his fingers and-- ]
[ An empty eye socket stares back at him. ]
[ ...oh god. ]
[ ...oh god. ]
[ He chokes on the air before starting to retch, swiftly covering his mouth with his hand. Before long, he ends up emptying what little contents he had in his stomach into the sink. ]
[ ...He fucked up really badly. ]
[ He coughs and turns the taps on, wiping his mouth with his sleeve. ]
[ Back on his show, something like this would've gotten better by the time the next episode, or next skit, rolled over. He misses that. ]
[ He misses home. He misses home so goddamn much. ]
[ And with that, Osomatsu buries his face in his hands and lets out a short but cathartic yell. ]
