[ Like last time, the exam begins with the desks arranged in a perfect circle; one desk for each person that's participating in the program. There are nameplates for everyone, and they have been bolted to each of the desks, facing the inside of the circle...

...including the deceased. Their chairs have been placed on top of their desks, signifying that they will not be needed. Above of their desks are holograms of their portraits from their profiles, grayed out and bloodstained.

Han is at the front of the classroom again, looking noticeably neutral about the entire setup. His laptop is closed behind him. ]

You know the drill. [his voice sounds soft, tight.]

Be careful with who you pick, as they'll be answering for their crime with their life.

I've said it before - I'd never personally known a human before arriving here, or at least as far as what I remembered at the time.

It must have been strange, seeing them like that. After all, you told me humans don't even have cities above the ground, right?

It's been almost a week and I still don't know what to make of that memory. Getting used to all the humans around here is one thing, but...

This is a special circumstance, with the inter-dimensional kidnapping, I understand.

[ he nods. he doesn't sound accusatory. he sounds like he really understands. ]

Humans can be so dangerous. They don't trust the things they don't know.

They're... unpredictable. But determined.

[There's... something that might almost be fondness in the way he says it.]

You weren't created to work with humans, though. Unpredictable though they may be. But I suppose determination would make them a worthwhile opponent in a fight.

[ and we know how viral feels about fighting. ]

No matter how the odds are stacked against them... They're still willing to try.

Were your hallucinations like that? Willing to try?

Where were you Thursday night?

In my room, for the most part. The last person I talked to was Rebecca around dinner.

Had you seen Henry throughout the week?

Mostly in passing. He didn't look good, but no one really did. The last time we talked was on Sunday when he had the head out in the garden - I told him to keep it in his room.

I don't think I even want to know the answer, but what was he doing with the head?

He just had it out with him? I think he said something about getting it sunlight.
