[ Like last time, the exam begins with the desks arranged in a perfect circle; one desk for each person that's participating in the program. There are nameplates for everyone, and they have been bolted to each of the desks, facing the inside of the circle...

...including the deceased. Their chairs have been placed on top of their desks, signifying that they will not be needed. Above of their desks are holograms of their portraits from their profiles, grayed out and bloodstained.

Han is at the front of the classroom again, looking noticeably neutral about the entire setup. His laptop is closed behind him. ]

You know the drill. [his voice sounds soft, tight.]

Be careful with who you pick, as they'll be answering for their crime with their life.

Just a couple of times. Last time I really talked to him was on Monday. He wanted my Four Lokos and I told him if he got any clothes or shit in my size, he could peddle 'em off to me. [ Shrugs. ] That was probably the longest conversation we'd ever had. I'm not huge on chatting up sociopaths.

Henry being a sociopath makes him an easy target, doesn't it? If someone really wanted to to stop seeing the hallucinations.

Maybe. But he was a soldier too, at least according to him. Not exactly an easy target.

[ Hank crosses his arms. ]

Not like Hale ever said "kill somebody and the hallucinations will stop" did he? Maybe that was the assumption, but I would've thought this shit would last all week.

It's true - Hale said this was part of a lesson from the headmaster, to try and get us to remember what we were missing.

[ what they were fighting for, maybe, but not something to kill for. ]

Though running into Henry on his way to try and kill Hale... that seems like a pretty crazy coincidence.
