[Entrance Exam] Week One

It would seem that it will be... some time before you're released. Two weeks. That may sound like forever, in this situation. But you aren't left with nothing to do. The Administrator has been kind enough to update the Tasks application on your tablet. There are also now several different tasks that you can accept. Who knows... you might get something good out of it. It's worth checking out at least. There are also several other new applications you can toy with, too.

And you won't go hungry. The staff is here to prepare meals three times a day. Breakfast is served from 6AM-8AM, lunch from 11PM-1PM, and dinner from 5PM-7PM. You'd best make sure you're in the cafeteria in time for those meals, because they won't be waiting around all day for you. They have lives, too. Unfortunately, you won't really be able to ask them about any of that. The serving area is separated by a glass wall, through which they serve you. Even if you try asking-- it would seem they have been told not to answer.

The rest... well. You may just have to see for yourself. At least you're not alone.

[ Not too exciting, but... well, let's glance at a few pages of one of these Anthropology books quickly before moving on to see if the civilizations it mentions are familiar ones? ]

[Yes! There are a number of familiar ones. But if you continue... there are also a lot of unfamiliar ones as well. Things from completely different worlds unlike his own.]

[ Huh. All right.

Anything interesting if glances in the closet before heading back into the eye of the paper storm? ]

[Actually-- going in there's immediately something worth checking out. On the inside of the closet, hangs a jacket. It would seem as though it's Vivienne's.

The pocket closest to Mishima seems to have something in it.

[ Is this too personal, going through the pockets of a woman's coat? Man, he hopes there's not like, a tampon or something in here...

But okay, let's check that pocket. ]

[I wouldn't be that mean to Mishima.

As a matter of fact. Vivienne's notebook was in the coat pocket. She must have forgotten she put it in there when she took it off after coming back from the Dormitory. Congratulations!

[ Oh, hey!!

Mishima feels a little swell of pride at being the one to find it, despite the fact that all he really did was open a fucking closet, and he's really tempted to just immediately slam the door shut and announce his achievement to everyone so they can appreciate how quickly he did it.

Buuuut this is still probably the best chance they'll have at getting meaningful information out of the administrator, so he'll at least finish glancing through the closet and give the others a few more seconds to examine whatever they've found before he says anything.

Hm hm hm...

...Okay, that's probably long enough. ]

Hey, I think I found it!

[ Holds up the notebook for confirmation!! ]

[Considering who it belongs to, you might not be surprised that it's full of sketches and writings about robots. There are portions on animal-like ones including the dog you all saw but...

There is a larger section devoted to humanoid robots. Detailed, detailed research... intricate sketches...

Certain parts are scribbled out so it looks like it was a work in progress. Nothing she'd call a finished project at this stage. And yet they have been tested. Not much time to read up on what but. It would seem that they were functioning on some level.
