[Entrance Exam] Week One

It would seem that it will be... some time before you're released. Two weeks. That may sound like forever, in this situation. But you aren't left with nothing to do. The Administrator has been kind enough to update the Tasks application on your tablet. There are also now several different tasks that you can accept. Who knows... you might get something good out of it. It's worth checking out at least. There are also several other new applications you can toy with, too.

And you won't go hungry. The staff is here to prepare meals three times a day. Breakfast is served from 6AM-8AM, lunch from 11PM-1PM, and dinner from 5PM-7PM. You'd best make sure you're in the cafeteria in time for those meals, because they won't be waiting around all day for you. They have lives, too. Unfortunately, you won't really be able to ask them about any of that. The serving area is separated by a glass wall, through which they serve you. Even if you try asking-- it would seem they have been told not to answer.

The rest... well. You may just have to see for yourself. At least you're not alone.

[Surely he just doesn't know the term, though. Even Zen isn't that old school.]

Actually, I've never heard of internet either. And, no, I've never heard someone say that.

[ He... pauses. ]

I think it's because I've never been to any worlds where anyone mentioned that or had that type of technology.

[ He assumes it's technology, anyway. ]

[That makes a surprising amount of sense. It's not the first time anyone's mentioned other worlds, but it's hard to get used to thinking of things that way.]

Really? Is going to other worlds normal for you?

Yeah. Something like that was normal for me.

Not many people do that sort of thing, but it can be fun. You tend to meet new people and learning new things that you wouldn't have by staying in one place.

If you ever get a chance, and it's safe for you to try, you should do it someday.

Do you think we'll be able to do it if we pass the exam? It doesn't sound bad, although I'm really worried about other people's worlds to be honest.

There are a few ways it could.

I think we'd definitely be able to travel to worlds after this ends, but I don't think it'd be something you would have to do. They seem ready to send us back to our places once we're done.
