[Entrance Exam] Week One

It would seem that it will be... some time before you're released. Two weeks. That may sound like forever, in this situation. But you aren't left with nothing to do. The Administrator has been kind enough to update the Tasks application on your tablet. There are also now several different tasks that you can accept. Who knows... you might get something good out of it. It's worth checking out at least. There are also several other new applications you can toy with, too.

And you won't go hungry. The staff is here to prepare meals three times a day. Breakfast is served from 6AM-8AM, lunch from 11PM-1PM, and dinner from 5PM-7PM. You'd best make sure you're in the cafeteria in time for those meals, because they won't be waiting around all day for you. They have lives, too. Unfortunately, you won't really be able to ask them about any of that. The serving area is separated by a glass wall, through which they serve you. Even if you try asking-- it would seem they have been told not to answer.

The rest... well. You may just have to see for yourself. At least you're not alone.

[ Here he was, all ready to go too. Nah, it's fine -- he hasn't heard of this custom before, but he's sure not going to knock it. Terra's been to a myriad worlds before and he knows people are bound to have different ways they go about doing things.

He comes up to get the ball that had fallen a bit short. ]

That's fine with me. And like I said, I'm not going to be holding back. I just kind of hope you're prepared for it when we get this started.

[ His tone sounds a little amused, but at the same time he's not about to underestimate this guy.

Either way, he'll wait, true to his word. ]

[Geez. What was that cat thinking? It only took the space of a minute for Sensei to run up screaming his name, force a racket in his hand while saying something-or-other about "a weird thing on the tennis court" and promptly abandon him. Although it was tempting to just chase after Sensei, there is this racket to deal with, and... well, maybe it wouldn't hurt to check things out for good measure.

And so, Natsume jogs his way over to the tennis court, completely unsuspecting.]

[ What was going on here...well, given that they do look similar, Terra barely notices the difference. If any. ]

[ Because, yes, he was told to hit the ball as soon as he returned, but Terra's not the type to go ahead with something unless he's sure the other party is good, or in this case in position. ]

[??? Is he talking to him? Of course, considering there doesn't really seem to be anyone else on the court, it's hard to imagine Terra's addressing anyone else, but... Natsume takes a few seconds to scan the surroundings before looking back.]

[ He thinks given the guy's light-hearted attitude that he meant it as his way of saying he's ready to go. ]

Just be prepared. Like I promised you, I won't be holding back!

[ It's at this time that Terra begins to perform the first serve, before strikes the tennis ball with all of his might via the tennis racket in order to kick this whole thing off. It's coming over to you pretty fast and hard Natsume, so get ready!! ]

[?!? Before he can really react to what Terra's saying, the ball's already shooting towards him and it looks like his options are:

a. hit it back to Terra,
b. calmly move away from the ball's trajectory, or
c. dive for the ground and yell like a fucking weenie

So like any reasonable person, of course he chooses c. Duck and cover!]

Terra just blinks, staring at him. ]

Is something wrong? You said you wanted me to hit it like this when you got back.
