[Entrance Exam] Week One

It would seem that it will be... some time before you're released. Two weeks. That may sound like forever, in this situation. But you aren't left with nothing to do. The Administrator has been kind enough to update the Tasks application on your tablet. There are also now several different tasks that you can accept. Who knows... you might get something good out of it. It's worth checking out at least. There are also several other new applications you can toy with, too.

And you won't go hungry. The staff is here to prepare meals three times a day. Breakfast is served from 6AM-8AM, lunch from 11PM-1PM, and dinner from 5PM-7PM. You'd best make sure you're in the cafeteria in time for those meals, because they won't be waiting around all day for you. They have lives, too. Unfortunately, you won't really be able to ask them about any of that. The serving area is separated by a glass wall, through which they serve you. Even if you try asking-- it would seem they have been told not to answer.

The rest... well. You may just have to see for yourself. At least you're not alone.

[ At some point during the icebreaker, Hollyleaf strides over to Natsume in several swift bounds and leaps up to an adjacent chair, stretching to her full height so she can try to look him in the eye.

[This isn't his first rodeo when it comes to being attacked by small, furry creatures, but that doesn't mean he's prepared either?! With that said, Natsume steps back enough to avoid getting cut, although the same couldn't be said about the sleeve of his uniform. RIP, he had a good run of not being being chased for a day.]

I'm not playing dumb! Look, if I said anything to offend you I'll apologize, but I can't do that if you don't tell me what you're talking about!

[ There's a bit of satisfaction in tearing his removable pelt, and she revels in it. Why they have these things she'll never understand. Maybe they wish they had fur?

Anyway, she keeps her paw up, hoping he moves closer again so she can get another shot at a scratch. ]

Yesterday! Where that...stupid firm ground is outside, when you threw that hard ball at me and mocked Twolegs invading cat territory!

[And Natsume glances over exasperatedly to where Nyanko-sensei is standing, where... let's be real, he's probably still gorging himself on pizza.]

[ She drops her paw and bows her head quickly, in apologize. ]

...No, it's fine -- I'm just glad things have been cleared up. Besides, he's the one who should be apologizing for saying all those things to you, so I'll make sure to give him a talk about it tonight.

[ ...well, one crisis is averted, anyway. The instant the apology is accepted, she scratches into the chair, leaving a mark. Those claws... They're sharp. ]

Oh, no, he's getting more than a talk, and he's getting it now. [ She turns on paw and leaps the nearby table, to get...well, a running start.

It is entirely possible in this moment that Hollyleaf is gearing up to spring herself at Nyanko-sensei. ]

[Oh god why?? He should've seen this coming considering how she already tried to scratch him but he's still slow to react, and she's on the table before he can try to stop her.

That won't keep Natsume from trying to block off her route to Nyanko-sensei though, even if he has to do it with his body. With that said, there's definitely some chairs in the way, so there's a good chance he won't make it if she's being quick about it.]

Wait, stop! Just let me take care of it, so don't--!

[ Hollyleaf certainly is fast. This is her in battle mode, and she has... Well, she's done some violent things in the heat of the moment before, hasn't she?

So yes, she's being incredibly quick, as everything kind of fades away and she leaps from the table with Nyanko-sensei as her target. ]

[ You know, it's really hard to anticipate a cat leaping at you while your thoughts are entirely preoccupied with food. Especially when that food is pizza (but even more especially when that "you" is sensei). So there's no way it would be inaccurate to say "he never saw it coming."

Because, really, he never saw it coming.

How's Hollyleaf coming at this poor, unsuspecting sensei who totally doesn't deserve this? ]

[ She's aiming right for his face, front claws out. She'll only be able to get in one slash before she'll have to right herself enough to land, but she sure is putting a lot of her strength behind that slash! ]

[ Her paw makes landfall! Yikes! That's gonna leave a big, bright red mark. As soon as he feels the claws digging into his cheek, he opens his mouth and lets out a cry that's definitely not exaggerated.

Immediately, he jumps back and holds his cheek, which probably needs some attention. But whatever, whatever. ] You!! You! What the hell do you think you're doing?! Do I look like a scratching post to you?!

[ This time he's the one to charge her, which he does with zero hesitation. If he catches her, it might be bad. ] I don't care what Natsume says, this time I'm going to eat you! Come here, come here!

[ Hollyleaf snarls, but she's already rushing away. Time to put her long legs to use!! ]

[Natsume can't really do much but watch this clusterfuck as he rushes over to try and do... something. There's a slight wince at seeing Hollyleaf's claws hit home but he's quick to stand in front of Sensei to keep him from pursuing her.]

Sensei, stop it! You can't eat her, okay?!

[He'll spare a glance to watch Hollyleaf dash away, though.]
