[Entrance Exam] Week One

It would seem that it will be... some time before you're released. Two weeks. That may sound like forever, in this situation. But you aren't left with nothing to do. The Administrator has been kind enough to update the Tasks application on your tablet. There are also now several different tasks that you can accept. Who knows... you might get something good out of it. It's worth checking out at least. There are also several other new applications you can toy with, too.

And you won't go hungry. The staff is here to prepare meals three times a day. Breakfast is served from 6AM-8AM, lunch from 11PM-1PM, and dinner from 5PM-7PM. You'd best make sure you're in the cafeteria in time for those meals, because they won't be waiting around all day for you. They have lives, too. Unfortunately, you won't really be able to ask them about any of that. The serving area is separated by a glass wall, through which they serve you. Even if you try asking-- it would seem they have been told not to answer.

The rest... well. You may just have to see for yourself. At least you're not alone.

It's different art. You use the computer to program it the same way an artist uses a brush to paint! It's just as fun!
enjoymyatelier: zach. they're here. (migrane's a comin.)

But does it do anything particularly interesting with its medium?

Like you have no idea! Many games and movies have brought large groups of fans together! In fact, some sci-fi movies are the reasons for some inventions and scientific discoveries!
enjoymyatelier: i am just done with this shit (ugh whatever)

Well, yes. I'm not going to say that science fiction is entirely without merit, even if I dislike its focus on technology.

[he catches himself before admitting he likes star wars and thinks jedi are cool as hell.]

But popularity isn't the only reason something has merit. I mean, Gene Roddenberry is heavy-handed and doesn't know how to make a point without dropping it as an anvil.
