WEEK 2
[ Week 2 has begun. It's quiet and calm on campus so far, and you definitely aren't being called out for more. You know. BS or icebreakers. The wall is still deceptively easy to hop over, the birds are singing, Todd's somewhere on campus.
Welcome to week 2 of classes everyone. ]

But Rebecca does. You can find her for some time before breakfast, just kneeling outside her door at the box, mouth a thin line, hand on one of the cup noodle containers, and...maybe murmuring? Something too soft. Something like, even here, or why are they... something. Maybe a name in there. Probably a name.
This can't last forever. Eventually, she's out of her funk, and back to the kitchen.
You know how it was cooking adventures yesterday? Well, that continues today. After breakfast, Rebecca's back at it, though she's in there for a much sorter time, soon setting out...some kind of stew? There is a fair amount of it, just out in the cafeteria, with a sign (in marker, not crayon, thank god) reading:
- Rebecca
...So this is what those leftovers were for! At the very least, Rebecca seems in a better mood, with all this. ]
outside her door
Which, you know, the options on whose they could be are pretty low. Tess doesn't strike him as the "pink" type. Maybe it was Monika's, but Rebecca is his first try here. It's a little awkward when she's looking so upset, but... hey, maybe this'll cheer her up?
He holds out a pink blouse from a box. I mean, it conveniently came in its own box, because I said so. ]
Hey, uh. You know if these are yours?
no subject
It's fine. Hold it together. Don't think about it. ]
Mister Anderson. I- wh-why yes, wherever did you find them?
no subject
Just Hank's fine, honestly.
[ He hands her the box. The rest of her outfit is in there, too. ]
It showed up along with a bunch of other crap this morning. You know anybody who wants used pencils, tell 'em I'm their guy.

Why would they give us...? [ She shakes her head lightly, turning away from her own box of things to look at the clothes. She runs her hand over the headband. ] They're definitely my clothes...though it stands to wonder, why give us any of our things, anyway?
[ And like. Why Take Them but you know ]

[ Oso was just passing by when he sees Rebecca like that and, yeah, that's a little worrying. ]
...Rebecca-san? Ya alright?
no subject
Um. Yes, I just...got distracted, it's fine, Osomatsu.
no subject
...What kind of stuff did ya get?
no subject
[ It is absolutely not fine, judging by her clipped tone, but she refuses to acknowledge it. ]
Uh, I got...some food, mostly. [ Literally. Mostly food. Mmmmostly. ] Strange, isn't it, since they already feed us.

Hey. You get something weird?
no subject
Just- something a little baffling. [ It's stupid, getting so emotional about this. It's stupid. It's stupid, stupid, stupid. ] Just some food, that's all.
no subject
If it's just food, is there a reason why you're talkin' to it?

[He was just planning on delivering the final draft of his work to Rebecca for editing... but this food looks better than what's been served lately so...]

[ She pauses, a...tickle of a smile rising to her mouth. ]
Though... I do have experience with grown men who can't cook to save their life, so maybe it's not that surprising.

This? This looks like pig slop.]
I see. [It's fine. She wouldn't try to poison everyone, so it has to be edible.] And it's a dish from the British Isles?
[Why Is UK Food Like This, Signed A Frenchman]
no subject
She nods. ] It's Scottish. Grew up eating it.

I always forget they aren't that common outside the UK. It's, uh, a dish made of leftovers, essentially.

no subject
Uh, yes, sort of. Though, they always have meat and potatoes, in my experience.
